@andrewsiff4NY @NYCTSubway @MTA It’s interesting. A packed train takes longer at a station as people squeeze by to get off and then pack in, delaying closing the doors. This is compounded at each station with an emptier train following. Properly-spaced trains end up stacked this way over time when busy.

Question for @NYCTSubway — why is it 8 minutes until the next train, but only one minute until the train after that? @MTA

@PaulGoldEagle The networks aren’t FCC licensed, the stations are. Most ABC & NBC stations are affiliates owned by other companies. Some are networked owned & operated, but not most. Government can’t take away licenses based on content decisions protected by the First Amendment.

The FCC just sent warnings to ABC and NBC: Covering Presidential Addresses is required by their on-air charters.

With that, the teams that will finish first, second and third at this World Cup all played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium twice!

Why did POTUS suddenly pivot from "unconditional surrender" to a deal at any cost in Iran? TL/DR it's the interceptors, stupid. - it takes Lockheed >two years and $5-15m to make a missile interceptor - i.e., $10k drones take a $5m missile to defeat - our forecast was that a) the population was going to rebel and b) we’d quickly take out the missile launchers - But: Iran murdered 50k protesting citizens before our forces were in place; we didn’t defeat the launch capability as fast as expected - we were facing down dwindling interceptor supplies - 50% of patriots are gone and 80% of Thaad interceptors are gone. They cannot be replaced in a relevant timeframe - if we actually ran out of defenses, US and allies in the region would be slaughtered— and the US would be facing a historic defeat - we're already rationing interceptors, which is why our soldiers died in Jordan last night and why there are no more Patriots in Ukraine. - in this context we try to make any deal you can — regardless of cost. Pretend it’s about gas prices if we must. So we are losing this war. Badly. And what really lost the war was the fucked up defense supply chain that can’t make munitions in a relevant cost or timeframe — and we have no technology that defeats the enemy in an economically sustainable way. This is why advanced anti drone and advanced missile defense is so critical. Personally I am bullish on directed energy intercept, particularly space-based directed energy. Regardless of specific technology, we must be able to build interceptors faster and cheaper than any enemy can build offensive weapons. Against China right now we lose. Badly. It isn’t even close. Fortunately we are learning this lesson against Iran not against China—and there is still time to pivot and fix the US industrial base, but only barely.

Last year during an interview, I made a mistake by referring to people in the DeFlock group as terrorists. I was wrong to say that, and I should have cleared this up a long time ago. That's my fault. Around the time of the interview, I was hearing reports of ALPR-avoidance apps being used (on occasion) for serious crime avoidance, and I conflated that with legitimate criticism. Being concerned about your privacy or how your local law enforcement agency conducts its operations isn’t terrorism, it’s American. DeFlock is not a terrorist organization, it’s an open source project that has gained popularity primarily due to our inadequate response to the questions and concerns that people have about ALPR.  Over the last 8 years, nearly 7,000 towns, cities and counties in America have purchased our ALPR cameras. While these cameras have done a tremendous amount of good in those communities, the recent awareness surrounding their existence has also spiked a fair share of criticism. I think we have failed to answer these questions and concerns at scale, and we are going to do a better job of that moving forward. I know @Rahul has banked a bunch of questions from X last week for us to answer, but feel free to reply with more here. He and I are going to do our best to catch up on these and answer them.

🚨 FLOCK JUST GOT CAUGHT BY A REPORTER — THEIR CAMERAS ARE SECRETLY TRACKING PEOPLE IN REAL TIME "You're saying Flock does not track people, correct?" A Flock representative tried to deny it. But then they showed the Condor camera — the one designed to literally follow your movements in real time. No matter which way you move, the camera moves with you. And that's not all. These cameras can zoom in on your phone screen to see what you're looking at, recognize faces, and pull up personal details in minutes using commercial facial recognition. One example: They tracked a couple arguing at a street market and within two minutes knew one just finished medical school and the other has chronic IBS. Cops are openly bragging that "you can't get a breath of fresh air in or out without us knowing." They said it was just for license plates. This is full-blown surveillance, and it's already everywhere. Should Flock's Condor cameras be allowed to track people in real time?

All claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election have been thoroughly investigated & found to be without merit. I know, because I personally found dead voters, identified by the Trump campaign, alive & well. Yes, this is old news, but the current president is renewing old claims.

Let’s game this out. Assume the current president of the United States, against all evidence to the contrary, is able to prove that he won the 2020 election. Wouldn’t he then have to step down, because the 22nd Amendment clearly states he can be elected to that office only twice?
