Flock Safety Cameras sent a cease and desist letter to an American saying he must stop making social media posts about them Flock threatens legal action if he posts anything on social media they deem “fake news” WOW “I have received a cease and desist from Flock Cameras, and they said if I make any more posts telling my fans to put f*ck Flock stickers on camera, then I will get pursued with legal action. And I can't make any more false or fake news posts — They said no more f*cking talking bad” I looked it up and they can’t enforce the social media post threats The cease and desist letter is legal, but it has limits on what Flock can actually enforce: They cannot outright ban you from posting on social media or criticizing them. The First Amendment protects your right to free speech, including negative opinions, memes and commentary about public companies and products So no they cannot enforce this, however They can sue if your posts cross into: - Defamation, meaning provably false statements causing harm, not just opinions like “F*ck Flock” - Incitement to vandalism like encouraging illegal damage to their property According to Grok: Cease and desist letters are common “scare tactics” used by companies to deter criticism. Many are overbroad and not fully enforceable

Flock cameras are now frequently misreading license plates and falsely flagging perfectly legal vehicles as stolen on top of several reports of drivers getting tickets in the mail for being detected with their phone in their lap. America is turning into a Chinese surveillance state that targets law abiding citizens. We must resist! Partnerships: @SocialSight @CocaineCoffee

GM - Flock says they have a 7% error rate when reading plates, which means 1.4 BILLION "alerts" from their system aren't accurate every month. No liability for Flock, just 1.4 billion chances police draw guns on another innocent person.

My report on Flock cameras and why they pose an extreme threat to our privacy and freedom. All cities and towns must OUTLAW Flock and Flock-like surveillance systems. Privacy protection against overzealous, abusive, tyrannical government is a fundamental human right.

9 Officers just got arrested/fired for abusing Flock surveillance to stalk people...again! This makes it 21 cases of abuse so far that we're aware of. This is exactly why mass surveillance is dangerous. It’s not just “a few bad apples.” One person with access and a grudge can turn your every move into their personal playground - exes, coworkers, neighbors, whoever. Your 4th Amendment rights are being shredded while you’re just trying to live your life. Nobody consented to being tracked 24/7 just for existing. And when the machines get it wrong? False positives can destroy lives! The FBI will be at your door at 4AM, guns drawn screaming at you to 'get on your knees!' Real police work doesn’t need this. 🕵️‍♂️

A car reviewer named Joel Feder says he was surrounded by four police cruisers after Flock cameras wrongly flagged his Range Rover as stolen. Officers later confirmed the SUV wasn't stolen the system had misread his license plate, turning a database mistake into a high stakes traffic stop. [📸: via/ PlymouthPD]

#Flock used to target journalist and suppress freedom of the press? This is the article that got this journalist tracked by police using #Flock cameras for weeks until an eventual police confrontation. Do you think he was targeted because of his anti-Flock position?

🚨HOLY CRAP!!! Milwaukee sent an internal affairs detective to investigate a cop caught using Flock surveillance cameras to stalk his ex... ...but that SAME internal affairs detective has now been CHARGED with using the SAME Flock cameras to stalk people, HIMSELF!!!!! He even planted a GPS tracker on a victim's car. The investigator WAS the abuser. The same man they trusted to catch the stalker cop... was allegedly running his own stalking operation the entire time. His name is Detective Tehrangi Chapman. A 22-year veteran of the Milwaukee Police Department. In December, Internal Affairs assigned him to investigate Officer Josue Ayala... who used the department's Flock license plate cameras over 200 TIMES to track his ex-girlfriend. Ayala pleaded guilty. He's sentenced next week. Just 2 months into that investigation, an anonymous call came in. Someone was terrified that a detective was digging into their family's personal information... and had planted a GPS TRACKER on their car. The victim was so afraid of what a cop could do to them, they refused to even say his name. The audit found Chapman, the internal affairs detective, had run that victim's license plate through the Flock camera system 17 TIMES, pulling 17 reports on their family going back SIX YEARS. He searched another person's plate three times in a single day, and when the system required him to log a reason for every search? He typed "test" and "training." Prosecutors say he ADMITTED to all of it, including the Flock tracking, the GPS device on the car, all of it. He's now charged with felony misconduct in office.

Trump is determined to take America to the end of its oil supply. And then the national emergency will be declared. And the Stafford Act invoked. Followed by "energy lockdowns" enforced by Flock cameras. You'll be a prisoner in your own driveway, by order of the federal government, and both fuel and food will be rationed in one way or another. But remember, it's a "Golden Age!"

The SPR is now only ~19MM barrels above tank bottom. That is a crisis. This is not the moment to play war games with Iran and risk disrupting Hormuz flows further. #Oil #SPR #Hormuz #Energy #OOTT #EnergySecurity
