In young levels of player, hitters should run to 3B instead of 1B. Would promote better swing direction. I know. Never going to happen.

@OldManML @nickstrong @TeddyKoller Was it in the fall? If so these d1s aren’t playing their best lineups and aren’t having pitchers throw how they normally would in these fall games. Can’t really compare a fall scrimmage if that’s what it was to what it’s really like competing in the spring.

@nickstrong @TeddyKoller Throwing it out there. Son plays for an NAIA in South Texas, they played 3 games last season vs D1 schools. Won all 3.
They are a top 25 NAIA and the D1s they played were in the bottom quartile of the RPI but that should tell you they can compete.

Levels in College sports.
NCAA and NAIA AREN'T LEVELS. You dont move up or down. They're 2 separate businesses.
MLB - 4 & 5 Year Programs (NCAA/NAIA/USCAA/NCBA/NCCAA/NSAC)
AAA - 2-Year Programs (NJCAA/NWAC/CCCAA)
AA - 1 Year Programs (Post Grad)
