This is how I feel about businesses that we deal with. Come on guys we support you and not a peep on the Canola front. Most make out better than farmers yet nothing. We are reaching out to all our local businesses, retailers and partners in our community that we do business with as a family farm to hear what actions are being taken by their head offices on the recent tarrifs imposed on Canola and peas . This is a major issue that is decimating revenue on all farms locally and in western Canada . Those within the industry need to support their customers that keep their lights on and employees paid . National attention needs to happen and is best done by the major players in the canola and pulse industry , MLA's and those that depend on farmers for their continued business Going forward as a family farm we will be doing business only with those who support farmers against these devastating Chinese tarrifs There is an extremely small EV auto sector in Eastern Canada that's being protected on the backs of farmers and it needs to be addressed immediately. As a local family farm that has been in this community for well over 100 years w supporting all local businesses we will be watching what agriculture partners stand up for canola and pulse producers
