I’ll put it to you like this, I’ve seen more players miss game clinching Free Throws than I’ve seen the pass ahead not be successful. That was actually a really good defensive play by the UCONN players.

@CarmichaelDave Missing probably the biggest difference between him and those other guys. Mindset. This kid his everything you want him a franchise player. Great mentors, teammate and coaching. He doesn’t force anything, not a complainer and humble. Not celebrating all game. All business.

We’ve seen this with guys like Morant (who would likely be Acuff’s CEILING), and Trae (who is a fantastic distributor). In the end, their ceiling seems to be the best player on a mid to low seed playoff team. At best you’d HAVE to surround them with A+ defenders.

Couldn’t agree more I can feel the fanbase falling in love with Acuff and no doubt he’s going to be fun, but can you win a title with him as your best player? The lack of defense is worrying

Lets just keep it 1000, the Kings did not go into the season trying to tank. So they ended up with too many vets to tank. It seems like they’re willing to live with what the basketball gods give them because they didn’t expect to be in this situation anyway.

@CarmichaelDave @Sactown1140 Cheer up. Maybe this is the year we are bad enough to actually blow it up and do a real rebuild. Maybe land the Boozer kid in the draft after winning the lottery. True rebuild is the only way out.

Kings are 1-2. They will likely be favored twice over their next 15 games. I would say 5-13 is the most likely outcome, and that might be too kind.
