I’ve argued this for years. Legacy auto will allow its EVs to be charged at TSLA’s superchargers, but would never allow $TSLA to take control of their full-self driving capabilities. EVs and unsupervised autonomy are table stakes for remaining in the automotive business. Every manufacturer will develop their own EV and autonomous capabilities.

@LewisWithrow5 @SawyerMerritt I’ve tried to warn them and even offered to license Tesla FSD, but they don’t want it! Crazy … When legacy auto does occasionally reach out, they tepidly discuss implementing FSD for a tiny program in 5 years with unworkable requirements for Tesla, so pointless. 🤷♂️ 🦕 🦕

NEW: Texas State Trooper has been "relieved" after he shoulder-checked a couple of South Carolina players.
The incident unfolded after South Carolina wide receiver Nyck Harbor scored an 80-yard touchdown.
In visible pain, he kept running into the tunnel as he slowed down. When he was returning to the field, the trooper appeared to shoulder check him and yell.
"We are aware of the incident in the NE tunnel involving a DPS trooper. He has been relieved of his game day assignment," Texas A&M's Police Department said.
So bizarre.

These signs (below) have also been a problem on FSD 14.1.4 hurry or madmax mode in my testing . There is a one lane traffic in either direction road where these are placed at the very end of peoples driveways. As my car approaches at 50-52mph (40 mph speed limit), FSD either disengages or the car hits the brakes while doing a slight safe swerve but not into oncoming traffic, just enough to provide some separation between the car and this sign almost as if it thinks it’s a child leaning forward and about to walk into the road… I tried standard mode only once and so far did not experience the same issue in the same spot. In any event the car on hurry/mad max FSD does everything you would want it to do safely as if that was a real child near a road where cars are whizzing by at 50mph but obviously something needs to change. @Tesla_AI

I have had multiple reports of blowing leaves confusing v14.1.4 as if it was an obsctruction. This does not surprise me with the sensitivity this version has. Obviously these are good data points for the teams to work on, and lots of good data is being collected.

@farzyness @wholemars Not a stretch. Just a decision. Hitting the first 20M cumulative vehicles delivered milestone (first tranche in new comp package) happens a lot faster if they make one with a steering wheel…while they wait for regulatory approval across municipalities/counties/states/countries.
