@maddieegrace1 Last couple of times I moved, I put a 20 foot garbage bin first in the driveway so I had to walk past it to get to the moving trailer. It got full faster than the trailer did. Turns out I didn't actually need three TV's that got upgraded but still worked, etc..

@DrunkOldGrad Made me look it up, means "sign of God". Kind of like "bishop" I think.

@gator_gum How hard is it to understand that we think the cheese is fine, we just don't want to buy from American businesses if we can buy from Canadians?
English

1.35kg is essentially 3 "regular" blocks of cheese.
Although he absolutely doesn't need to make this purchase, he absolutely needs to find something to pair well with this absolutely dry whine.
Cosmin Dzsurdzsa@cosminDZS
Canadians really do pay $30 for a block of cheese just because it says “Product of Canada” on the label They genuinely believe there’s a magical superiority that has been enchanted into it that American cheese simply cannot replicate

@Bsbcaer @lawandchocolate What I was going to say. Plus, have you ever seen the vid of the "island" they get the stone granite from?

@peoples_unicorn Pizza with pineapple, ham and hot pepper flakes is a Canadian tradition!
English

@brian9306 Pineapple on pizza? And how else do you tie your shoes?
English

All of that, and she never mentioned a height requirement. 🤣

Women: I'm 35, where are the good men? Also women:
English

@peoples_unicorn a double loop shoe tie is when you form two loops first then knot the two loops together. I do regular shoe tie where you first tie a single crossed knot, then form a single loop, and then wrap the second loop around the first one and pull it through. Harder to describe than do

@RpsAgainstTrump If you have a gun in the District of Columbia and you don't have a concealed carry permit from the District, you're illegal. Been that way for a long time. They don't recognize permits from out of district. Why is that hard to understand?
English

@AdamSpitler1 @GuntherEagleman @TransportCan My understanding is that Transport Canada is holding out for the completion of formal, full-scale fuel icing tests, whereas the FAA allowed for a temporary, in-service exemption for the same tests. So it's finish the testing, scheduled to be complete in 2026.

Those of us who have been in aerospace for decades know there are some rules that matter and many that really don’t, but we’ve always done it that way.
Access to baggage compartments above a certain FL is an example. Based on a 1x10-9 type statistic that doesn’t really matter (x10-5 would be sufficient). FAA allows us access to baggage at FL450. EASA only allows below FL410. That 4k isn’t going to say a SINGLE life in the whole operation of the fleet.
This is another case like that. 750k hours of operation in G500/G600 with no fuel icing issues….but not good enough for Transport Canada?

@kristelxo For several decades the only people I knew and interacted with were "work friends", or tied to specific hobbies. I don't count them as friends, just people I knew. Only in retirement did I slowly start to find people that I just knew, and could call friend.
English

@lawandchocolate The quotes normally identify a phrase as a term of art, with a defined and specific meaning. I think, anyway.
English

@AdamSpitler1 @GuntherEagleman @TransportCan The 700 and 800 are not fully certified by the FAA either, they are operating under temporary exceptions. Canada just doesn't issue exceptions. The fuel icing issue is the exact same, FAA just lets them fly anyway.
English

@CarolLeonnig So, seriously, what are you doing about it? Why aren't we hearing of ICE being arrested, charged, in custody?
English

@KeraRolsen When I was around 19, we did a joint exercise at Petawawa- A helicopter platoon and our artillery battery. I was a forward observer radio operator that day and we did a "combat deployment" with a helo, doors open, the whole 9 yards.
