Nairobi City County collected Ksh 615 million in August 2024. That's an average of Ksh 20 million per day.
In April 2017, JamboPay collected for Nairobi Ksh 107 million in one day.
Kajiado Collects an average of Ksh 8 to Ksh 10 million a day.
In the last 3 days of this new month of September, Nairobi has yet to collect just an average of Ksh 2 million per day.
Even if we are looting Nairobi, how can this city collect Ksh 20 million as average daily revenue when it has the potential and evidence of the availability of Ksh 300 million, which should be collected every day?

All the best #TeamKenya in your campaign in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. I will be cheering you on. Kenya will be cheering you on. Twende kazi!

@edwinsifuna Since the time raila joined ruto, you have been very silent with nothing to heckle and oppose against ruto. But at least today thank museveni for giving you something to talk about
English

Whatever beef Museveni has with Babu Owino, I strongly object to the manner of his attack on a young Kenyan leader on our own soil. Kenya is a country ruled by law and if there is any objectionable conduct on the part of Babu, there are diplomatic channels to convey that to Kenyan Authorities and let the law take its cause. But to use a Presidential Podium to make such grave accusations against a Kenyan is a NO!
English

@AokoOtieno_ I may not know the genesis of your tiff with ruto, but madam, for heavens sake, this is immoral. Leave people's private lives alone. You can argue on issues of national importance, but attacking people's bedroom matters is unethical and irrelevant more so from a person like you
English

@DrOparanya @HonWetangula There is nothing useless in this country like politicians. After misleading your azimio luhyia people and abusing wetangula and musalia during last election, you are now here fronting a ballooned stomach in a coat calling him your brother. Bure kabisa
English

This afternoon, I paid a courtesy call to the Speaker of the National Assembly, @HonWetangula, at his office at Parliament Buildings, Nairobi.
We discussed a wide range of issues touching on governance, and collaboration between the Ministry and the National Assembly on legislative and development matters for the betterment of Kenya. We also discussed the importance of unity among leaders, regardless of political affiliation, to enhance economic development.

@DrBKhalwale Whatever the case, whatever the country, this is inhuman, brutal and heartbreaking. I'm 😭
English

@gabrieloguda How practical is it in terms of finance, logistics, recruitment and time factors to send enumarators all over the country to do what students can just provide from their comfort of their own homes? Your problem is to think that you know everything when you know nothing
English

This guy from HELB on Citizen TV doesn't get where the problem with the University Funding Model is - at all.
Instead of blaming applicants for sending in incorrect info, why not adopt the Equity Wings to Fly model and send Enumerators to dispense the means testing tool on site?
You want to tell us there's no one inside the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) who went to a Research Methodology class? Even a First Year BSc (Witchcraft) student will tell you that the quality of data presented in a self-administered questionnaire is nowhere near comparable to the same one from an interviewer-based questionnaire. By a country mile.
This is precisely why enumerators undergo a rigorous pre-survey training, even putting the tools through a harmonized pilot testing programme, before any evidence-based scientific primary data collection exercise kicks off.
Bwana you will not sit at Anniversary Towers and expect filled application forms from university students to fly into the comfort of your office from cyber cafes across the country, without having any means to verify the veracity of the information inside those application forms.
You guys are currently having difficulties explaining to dirt poor families why their kids have been put into categories that do not reflect their actual poverty status because you are processing garbage from cyber cafes and expect these students to keep quiet, accept and move on.
Bwana there is no harm in pushing forward the opening date for this First Year Class by another three months, as you work backwards to get this thing right from the very beginning.
I wanted to say I was part of the World Bank team that came up with the Means Testing Tool for the Inua Jamii social protection programme, but you will say I am not being humble.
I say this with all the humility I can gather.

@kipmurkomen With murkomen, I don't see anything significant going to happen in sports . This guy failed to bring any public order on our roads while in the ministry of transport. Road carnage is the order of the day
English

A mixed bag of results today for our teams in their first continental campaign matches of the 2024/25 season. In the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match, Kenya Police were held to a nil-nil draw by Ethiopia's Coffee Sports this afternoon at the Nyayo Stadium.
Our champions, Gor Mahia, on their part, lost 1 goal to nil away to South Sudan's Al Merreikh Bentiu in Juba in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
The matches were 1st leg games for both clubs, and I hope our teams will post better results in the 2nd leg.
In Addis Ababa, Kenya Police Bullets settled for a goalless draw in their match against Yei Joint Stars of South Sudan in the CECAFA Zonal qualifiers for the CAF Women's Champions League.
We can do better, and we will do better by resolving mismanagement issues that have long bedevilled football in this country. We owe it to the players and the fans.
Kenya Police FC, Gor, and Kenya Police Bullets, that was a great effort. Hats off!

English

@kipmurkomen You performed very decimally at the ministry of transport. I expect almost zero impact in your new ministry of sports. I don't know why Namwamba was sacked
English

The youth are integral in Kenya's momentous journey to socio-economic transformation.
As Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, I will work closely with the State Departments and Agencies in the Ministry and other key stakeholders to ensure our youth realise their full potential through the application of their abilities, skills, talents and knowledge.
To set the tone for the work ahead, I held an inaugural meeting with the leadership of the Ministry, including PSs Eng. Peter Tum (Sports) and Ismael Maalim (Youth Affairs and Creative Economy), Secretary Administration for Sports, and for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy, CEOs of State Agencies, and Heads of Departments, at Talanta Plaza, Nairobi this afternoon.
I emphasized the importance of teamwork in realising our vision of making a difference in the lives of our young people.

English

@kipmurkomen I don't have any faith in you kipchumba. Namwamba was the real deal.
English

@kipmurkomen I'm a very worried man about your shifting to the sports docked. I really doubt if you will fit in Namwamba s shoes , going by your poor performance at the transport ministry. I don't know why the president sacked Namwamba, that guy had transformed sports in this country
English

@Honcalebamisi You have always been a loyal sycophant for raila. I think it's time raila appreciates your sycophancy. Unfortunately, sycophancy has no reward in Kenyan politics.
English

When I say #Raila has had selfish individuals around him. Every big wig around Baba is scrambling to join the cabinet. They don't even care whether Baba gets AU whether he goes home as long as they join the cabinet. Some are even calling ruto directly . I think we were never on the same journey. Am disappointed !
English

@MutahiNgunyi Tell gen z that this country belongs to all of us. And where it has reached, they will have to stop this nonsense or we will have to groups of gen z. Those opposed to anarchy and those supporting anarchy. You don't own Kenya to dictate what befits you at the expense of others
English

@ntvkenya Why Nairobi alone and not other parts of the country? By the way I'm not supporting these anarchists in the name of demonstrations. Looting peoples business and destruction of property cannot be a synonym of peaceful demonstrations. Crack down these criminals
English

@edwinsifuna Sifuna stop lying. U can't pretend. We know odm has history of betrayal, rudeness. Yours is just crocodile tears.
English

I have learned of the shocking disruption that happened at the tail end of the Azimio PG this afternoon. I left the PG early for the airport and I’m still unclear as to the circumstances of the incident. I unreservedly condemn this uncouth behavior and hope that the coalition takes action against those responsible.
English

@KenyaPower Since then I haven't yet received my two codes. Despite purchasing tokens regularly. How can I update my token meter?

@Honcalebamisi @MusaliaMudavadi @HonWetangula The most useless MP who lacks people's agenda apart from attacking mudavadi and wetangula on daily basis. Must you find somewhere to coil wetangula and mudavadis names into irrelevant issues.
English

While #Gachagua is busy campaigning for his people, @MusaliaMudavadi is busy shouting to Europe and the West how ruto is the best president on earth. @HonWetangula is crafting ways of blocking Caleb from contributing and forcifully pass the bill .He will definitely receive something in return. You decided to join the kleptomaniacs, please act as such and bring development. We are soon mobilising all luyhas to mudavadi and wetangula homes to share what luyhas are benefiting out of the finance bill. This time round, we won't ask for Michele na soup! Real development ! Be ready . Kenya needs a Renaissance!
English

@HonOtuoma This is shoddy work. After 6 months that road will be full of potholes
