@EdgarIrene I like egg-custard pies (with nutmeg on top) and Portuguese custard tarts (Pastéis de nata). Are they similar? I wonder if the vinegar in Chess Pie is to make it curdle..? I probably shouldn't judge it without tasting it, but it does not appeal to me at all!

"Hurt" is not an original by Johnny Cash. The song was written by Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) in 1994 for the album The Downward Spiral. Rick Rubin had to insist several times on Cash recording his version, at first Johnny found the idea completely insane because the original version is industrial and noisy. At 71, already very ill, almost blind and with trembling hands, Cash completely transformed the band. The iconic video, directed by Mark Romanek, was filmed at the House of Cash (his own museum). June Carter Cash appears looking at him fondly, the video was shot in February 2003, a few months before she died (May) and Johnny himself (September). Trent Reznor was so moved that he declared, "This song is not mine anymore." It is considered one of the best covers of all time.

@brian_damage A Zona saw … or a fine-toothed/razor saw would do it, not scalpels These enclosures are made from ABS, a hard plastic. Previously, this would’ve been screwed together, but I bet it’s cheaper to snap, glue or melt them closed, also means the end-user has to buy another one! 😀

Hi @philwithadrill! I'm after a little advice: I've just managed to break a USB socket on one of these: ryman.co.uk/canyon-desktop… It's possibly repairable it I could get the box apart, but it's welded shut around the mid-line. Is it a job for a ZONA saw or scalpel, do you think?

And Reform might have won even more council seats with a different system - look at what's just happened in Wales. Turkeys: Christmas. 🤷‍♀️

@brian_damage @vickster51 The turnout at the Kent Council elections was 33%. Of those, 37% voted Reform. That's 12% of the total electorate, and thanks to FPTP & democrats staying at home, it got Reform a 70% majority in Council. We can all stop this.

@dailybritainonx Hi @darrenpjones, when I worked late to get someone's roof watertight before the heavens opened, I would'nt want to be up on that roof with alcohol inside me. Politicians should adopt the same attitude when running the country. Drink after work, like all sensible people.
