@RobertBurns82 Republicans have had a super majority in state congress for years. The governor couldn’t stop any bill they put through. So any policies are on the GOP.

Time for new policies that will put North Carolinians first. I’m eager to share them with the people and state I love. We will think outside the box and drive our state to be the greatest in our country. The same old ways that Democrats like Cooper and Stein have pushed aren’t working. Change is inevitable. STAY TUNED. TOGETHER WE ARE NCSTRONG.

An 83-year-old former police officer had his nose broken and arm ligaments torn at a "No Kings" protest in North Carolina on Saturday when Lillington Police arrested him for being part of an unpermitted counter-protest Lill Thomas "Tommy" McNeill says he wasn't resisting arrest, he just pulled back as a result of the pain from the officer twisting his arm as he attempted to handcuff him Tommy McNeill says he wasn't even participating in the counter-protest, he was merely observing after being invited by his pastor Cecil McNeill Cecil McNeill was charged with protesting without a permit, while Tommy McNeill was charged with resisting a public officer, disorderly conduct, and protesting without a permit Source: The Daily Record mydailyrecord.com/news/police-ta…

Wherever I go, no matter if I’m talking to Republicans or not, people do not want Roy Cooper and Josh Stein any longer. Unfortunately, we’re stuck with Stein a couple more years but not Cooper. North Carolinians, who have been born and raised here are tired of their same old politics. Don’t listen to the media or the polls, Cooper and Stein are not that popular.

The newest data from the US Census Bureau is in – and North Carolina is growing. More people moved to NC from other states than to any other state. The fastest-growing counties in NC are Brunswick (the 6th fastest in the US!), Pender, Johnston, Iredell, and Franklin. And our two biggest counties – Wake and Mecklenburg – had population gains in the top 7 nationally. The growth shows North Carolina continues to be the best place to live, work, and play. As we grow, we have to take care to invest in our infrastructure and our people.

@Lashond09696605 @NC_Governor How anyone can “change your culture” is beyond me. It’s your culture. I think what you meant to say was you don’t want to be around people who don’t look, talk or agree with you.

@NC_Governor When they bring their politics with them and strive to change our culture, we see the problems they cause. It's nothing to brag about, Josh. It's made our lives miserable. Quality of life has been sold to the highest bidder.

WHERE'S THE PLAN, ROY? What is @RoyCooperNC's plan for the economy? History shows a consistent pattern: Roy Cooper always supports higher taxes on families and businesses and wants more bloated government spending. #NCPOL #NCSEN

When @RoyCooperNC served 8 years as Governor, North Carolina's health care costs rose to the highest in the nation. Now, Crooked Roy is raising money from the same health care executives who made life harder on working families. #MakeRoySayLess #NCPOL #NCSEN

Today, @RoyCooperNC was in Greensboro laying out his plan to help lower health care costs in the U.S. Senate. NC families are getting hit hard by attacks on health care coming out of Washington D.C. & insurance companies ripping them off -- it's time for a change.

The $70M in FEMA Public Assistance & Hazard Mitigation funds (exact: $40.23M Avery debris removal, $20.93M Yancey, $7.26M Asheville, $1.43M Buncombe + Haywood/Avery mitigation) was released March 5, 2026. Rep. Chuck Edwards' official press release announces it and credits his work with White House officials, FEMA, Speaker Johnson, Majority Leader Scalise, and the NC congressional delegation to expedite reimbursements. No primary sources (Edwards' site, FEMA reports, or coverage) mention Whatley securing this specific allocation. His "we" claim reflects his broader Trump-appointed advisory role on the FEMA Review Council since Jan 2025, not documented involvement here.

We just secured another $70M for Western North Carolina: • $40M Avery County • $21M Yancey County • $1.4M Buncombe County • $7M Asheville Roy Cooper was in office when Hurricane Helene hit. He did nothing. That’s the choice in this Senate election: leadership or failure.

Roy Cooper (NC Gov during Helene, Sept 2024-Jan 2025): Declared state emergency Sept 25; requested/ got federal major disaster declaration (approved fast); deployed 1,000+ National Guard for 1,400+ rescues & 700k lbs supplies; EO for unemployment up to $600/wk & 26 wks; proposed $3.9B state aid; raised $15M+ private relief fund; got 90% federal cost share. Michael Whatley: RNC chair in 2024 (coordinated some party support). Appointed Trump recovery czar Jan 2025 for WNC oversight/FEMA review; claims role in recent $70M fed allocations ($40M Avery, $21M Yancey, etc.) to counties/Asheville. Senator Tillis visited damaged areas like Canton (Oct 2024), did aerial tours, met local leaders statewide, and testified emotionally in the Senate Appropriations Committee (Nov 20, 2024) demanding urgent federal aid, calling the destruction Katrina-scale. He introduced the RELIEF Act (Nov 18, 2024) for small biz loans, voted for the Dec 21, 2024 bipartisan bill securing $100B+ disaster relief (NC expected $9B+), announced $1.65B CDBG-DR funds (Jan 2025), and later pushed small biz bills plus DRF replenishment. His office also ran a Helene resources hub for constituents. Federal aid flowed in billions partly due to his efforts.
