Super excited to see this launch! Our first course is teaching full stack web development using .NET. Classes start September 15th, 2021, but we're still accepting applications until the end of next week. So get those applications in!

It’s that time of year! The #MVPSummit may again be online, but that‘s okay. We will be hosting our second virtual (and fifth annual) #MetaConference in a few hours. Can’t wait to catch up with many of our favorite #DeveloperCommunity organizers!

@Green93825907 @shanselman @dotnet Our initial program is targeted towards college/university students to teach full stack web development using C#/.NET while they design and developer their own app. We're looking to expand in the future, so we'd love input on what you'd be looking for in a program. DMs are open.

@shanselman @dotnet yay, finally a .Net bootcamp where you can learn C# OOP, EF Core Code First, LINQ, Lambda Expression, and finally create a Hello World project.. sigh I was hoping for a real world enterprise project.

@shanselman @JaredEzz @dotnet While this initial program is piloted towards college/university students, we have plans to hopefully make it available to everyone. The more #dotnet developers, the better. 😉

@MarkSzili @shanselman @dotnet Hi Mark. Our original pre req was an object oriented programming language because we didn't have enough time to also teach OOP fundamentals. So, having knowledge of a programming language and OOP would suffice. But, we're in the process of revamping the program, so stay tuned!

@shanselman @dotnet Pre req is python or c++ fundamentals. Would c, HTML and Powershell knowledge also be ok?

@shanselman @buhakmeh @dotnet Yes! We'll definitely need help and would be grateful for your help. I just talked to the @dotnetfdn yesterday about program and there's a few things that need to get ironed out before we open it up to the community. I'll DM you to keep in touch.

@evntdrvn @shanselman @dotnet @dotnetfdn Definitely! I limited the scope of the pilot program because it was just me developing the course and running it. But, my vision is to expand out offer other curriculums too once we hit critical mass with the @dotnetfdn.

@brian_jablonsky @shanselman @dotnet @dotnetfdn Since it’s called .NET boot camp, would be nice if the curriculum included a short intro section on VB.NET and F#. Some of the new Interactive workbook stuff would be attractive to people too I think. Cheers!

@ShortManDev @shanselman @dotnet @dotnetfdn Awesome! We'd love the help. I'll reach out via DM and we can chat. I just started initial talks with the @dotnetfdn about moving forward, but as soon as we have some groundwork laid, we'd love for the community to come help out!

@meg_gutshall @PhillyDotNet Thanks so much for attending! It truly is amazing how easy and quickly you can set up a simple CI/CD workflow with GitHub Actions. Feel free to reach out to me if you run into any issues. 😃

@shanselman @JessPWhite @dotnet Wow. Did not expect this blow up. :) The .NET Bootcamp was a pilot course I developed and ran virtually in the Fall of 2020 with 5 students. I just had a fantastic conversation with the @dotnetfdn about expanding it out. The plan is to eventually expand it out globally.
