In case Eagles fans forgot about Dameon Pierce, he did this to us back in 2022: 27 carries for 139 yards rushing Eagles defense couldn’t stop him. Pierce’s rookie year in 2022 he had 939 yards rushing on 220 carries in 13 games played. Then it just went all downhill after that. I loved him in that draft class, and I’m still going to hold onto some hope that he still has enough talent left to just be RB3. I certainly like this signing MUCH more than I did the AJ Dillon signing last year 😉

Why would the Eagles trade Jalen Carter, a soon to be 25 year old All-Pro? To get an elite player, you'd have to give up an elite player or premium draft picks. Trading Carter allows the Eagles to land Maxx Crosby without having to trade two first round picks (Raiders asking price) Carter is extension eligible. Raiders could extend Carter and elect to build around him, instead of a 29 year old pass rusher. Eagles could extend Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo and that could be their DT trio. They also have Ty Robinson. Byron Young is also under contract for 2026. A salary cap conversion on Maxx Crosby's deal could drop the cap hit from $30.7 million to $7.73 million, per Spotrac. Do the Eagles feel comfortable giving Carter a big money extension with some of his baggage? (Some of it is over-exaggerated IMO) They could also be worried about his bilateral shoulder issues that plagued him in 2025. #Eagles
