Dawid Malan has stirred a debate on ball tampering, suggesting that legalising it could make cricket more bowler-friendly 🤔

@WisdenCricket He was out of his depth in Australia, batting and 'keeping. He was found out. Scoring a lucky hundred in the CC doesn't right the wrongs. England will stick with him because they're all mates and his face fits.

Jamie Smith scored a century from No.3 in Surrey's opening game of the 2026 County Championship 💯 Should England stick with him this summer after a tricky winter? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A long-serving Waitrose employee was sacked after stopping a suspected shoplifter stealing a bag of luxury Easter eggs. “I’ve been there 17 years. I’ve seen it happen every hour of every day for the last five years,” he said. And who pays for this?

@nickfshort i think he could have been wheeled up to the stumps during the Ashes and still have had more idea of where the ball was going than Carse or Jacks

🗣️ “This is a decision I hope I will look back on in 10 years and see as a pivotal moment in my career, and the right decision.” Ben Duckett, signed for £200,000 by Delhi Capitals, has withdrawn from the 2026 IPL to prioritise his England career after a tough winter. In doing so, he’s at risk of incurring a three-year ban from the competition.

@WG_RumblePants "Learnings". I hate that word. Abject failure would lead to contract cancellation in just about every country apart from England, where poor performance is often rewarded.

Yes Rob, you tried but you made poor decisions and McCullum made poor decisions and it all went horribly wrong — both on and off the field. You persisted with players who aren’t good enough (when the whole world told you that they weren’t good enough). Selection was poor, preparation was poor, execution was poor and you lost control of the players. Personally, I have no faith that either of you have the judgement, the ability or the leadership skills to take England further or to make them better.

Tehran to London is 2,754 miles. Just been disclosed that Iran fired two ballistic missiles at our Chagos Island base of Diego Garcia 2,400 miles away. One was shot down, the other fell short. Clearly the ambition is there. I always viewed these global terrorists as our enemy. When a missile lands in Guildford so might you.

@NHoultCricket "Expensive to sack McCullum and hire new coach". I expect the RFU feel the same way. They never consider the fans who pay vast amounts of money to watch English teams losing, and losing badly, most of the time.
