@EliotLandrum This feels uncharitable. I see a lot of folks checking in with local businesses because they would rather support local if they have the option. That’s certainly not everyone, but I’d argue that is capitalism at its best and worth a bit of grace.

@EliotLandrum @MicrosoftTeams With a dedicated protocol, you could probably redirect it to an on-box app (like with sip: or tel:), but then the link wouldn’t work for anybody without the protocol defined.

@EliotLandrum @MicrosoftTeams Not sure I’m the expert here, but I think this is the same behavior for every conferencing solution. The simplest way to manage the invite for both internal and external users is a URL and because it’s a standard protocol, your OS interprets it to execute inside default browser.

@EliotLandrum @MicrosoftTeams Interesting - I use Teams exclusively and when I click on “Join Online” from the Outlook reminder, it launches the web link via Chrome and then immediately switches to the Teams client ready to join the meeting.

@weekstweets Is there any correlation in maturity of devops practice with size or perceived attack value? I agree with the comment above that it could be awareness, but there’s also a serious potential that the corporate demographic has an impact on number of targeted attempts at breach.

NEED DEVOPS INSIGHT: For the second year in a row, our community survey shows more application related breaches in mature DevOps organizations that in immature DevOps practices. I have my hunches, but looking for perspectives from others here.

@kyptin The challenge is that it will likely only go away when browser-based webcam eyetracking becomes the norm (carousel slows or stops with eye focus), which presents an epic number of privacy challenges.

I'm ready for auto-changing carousel images on websites to be passé. They have such bad UX. When I'm looking, it changes out from under me. When I'm not looking, the motion distracts me from what I am looking at. It seems particularly trendy on university websites.

@SGgrc any idea when Spinrite 6.1 might make an appearance? I have a couple of GPT hard drives that need the Spinrite magic!

@adhall_msft @gagangulati Would love to get some perspective on this. We’re about to onboard around 800 users, about 15% are Mac users!

@adhall_msft are you the guy to ask now if/when we can expect an AIP client for MacOS?

@speckproducts I dropped a line to support via the contact form on your website on Friday during business hours, but haven't heard anything back. Any idea what the typical turnaround time is?

@Aetna and the CSR's assurances that all I need to do is send an attachment to xyz@payflex.com and my highly sensitive personal information will be safe are ignorant and sad.

It's amazing that companies like @Aetna continue to operate with customers as if email is a secure medium. Providing identity verification documents via email is a patently bad idea without encryption.

Surveying news this week across Cybersecurity, Politics and my faith and am overwhelmingly struck by our culture’s propensity to venerate people of despicable moral quality. May is going to be a long month.
