My university just announced that it’s dumping Blackboard, and there was much rejoicing. Why is Blackboard universally reviled? There’s a standard story of why "enterprise software" sucks. If you’ll bear with me, I think this is best appreciated by talking about… baby clothes!

can confirm that spending >$16 on bluetooth headphones yields a better experience.

I have an early 2013 Mac Book Pro 15”… Is the bluetooth in that model known to be sub-par? I’ve just recently tried using bluetooth headphones with it and get 1/10 second drops when playing music (and possibly switching tabs in safari or spaces in finder)

@EgriNagy For a while in grad school I used pine for email and vim to compose email. Afterwards, it took me a while to break the habit of typing <escape>:wq when I was finished typing.

@kyptin @OmronAutomation Yep. Had to just buy a whole new board... because laundry. Think I will order replacement relays and try to fix it for a future replacement

So this is why my dryer doesn’t work any more. 2 @OmronAutomation 12v relays let the smoke out. Kinda want to just replace them but the board clearly has trace damage. $200 fix because of a relay... bummer

@hartsock Good point! I was in Iowa though, so I don’t think that was it. And another friend explained it to me in a way that makes sense.

@kyptin Assuming due east is in the dead center of the pic, maybe you're far enough north & close enough to summer solstice, what you're seeing is the sun skimming along at sun rise at a very acute angle. Far enough north & there's no sunset, the sun just swings around in the sky.

I’m seriously perplexed by this. The sun seems to be rising from a direction more north than south. These pics were captured within seconds of each other. Phone was carefully pointed in the direction of the road. Can anybody help me understand how this works?
