Unless I am reading the website wrong, it is now 9:03pm and there is no posted Bears stadium bill yet. This bill has to pass the senate and the house with less than 3 hours to go. Not impossible, but not ideal.

@DanButtersChi The “Jock Tax” for Bears players and coaches only moves to Indiana if Halas Hall does. Otherwise vast majority stays in IL where they train majority of NFL work year. A claim I’m confident IDOR would pursue zealously if Bears brass claimed otherwise.

According to a new analysis by the Cook County treasurers report, Chicago officials are now leaning toward a Hammond stadium over Arlington Heights. The report states: “A Bears stadium in Hammond would be just 20 miles from Soldier Field, compared to the 38-mile distance from the city to Arlington Heights. As a result, a stadium in Hammond would still produce economic benefits for Chicago and the state of Illinois with Indiana taxpayers picking up the $1 billion tab to subsidize the development.” #DaBears

There's no good reason to incentivize the Bears to leave the top tourist destination in Illinois or to gift them property tax reprieve when they already don't pay property taxes on a publicly-owned stadium. The Bears belong in downtown Chicago.

Chicago Bears brass met virtually today with the NFL's Stadium Committee to discuss the team's two proposed stadium sites. The Bears presented an update on the Arlington Heights, Ill. and Hammond, Ind. sites. Per source, the committee members agreed that these 2 sites are the only viable options and expressed a need to move the process forward "expeditiously." There was no vote taken but the Stadium Committee will meet again within 2 weeks. Source says that the committee also acknowledged the Illinois legislature needs to continue to work to move the process forward, which will now require the PILOT bill to move through the senate.

President Trump won 46% of the Vote in the State of Virginia. Before this vote there were 6 Democrats and 5 Republicans representing the people in the house. To "restore fairness" the Dems will now carry the state 10-1. This is certainly a victory for democrats but how is it fair
