@SrinivasanSS52 @_vmlops Generally I ask it questions about a new library I'm trying to use and instead of letting it code for me, I ask it for tips.

@SrinivasanSS52 @_vmlops I use Claude code to help me. More often than not, I have to say no to a change it wants to make and feed it clarifications because I understand the software better than it does and know that it might "work" but it'll write 50 lines of code when 15 will work.

A developer spent 4 months building a fullstack project his manager discovered claude code, vibe coded the same project in days, and fired him on the spot when he explained that ai halluccinates on complex requirements his manager didn't believe him. he believed the llm over the person who actually built it this isn't just an ai story. it's a management literacy problem knowing how to use a tool ≠ understanding what it takes to build production-ready software

@LibertyForMpls @randomname99000 @Timcast The book is anti-communism. He's saying the MOVIE is anti-capitalism and pro-communism. He's offended that they've completely subverted the message of the book in the movie. What part of that didn't you get?

ANNOUNCEMENT Timcast IRL has been asked to run ads promoting Animal Farm next week which is being distributed by Angel Studios Angel studios has done tremendous work in the past and I have been a fan for some time. However I am rejecting these ads outright as the film is shockingly offensive as it is pro communism and anti capitalism. The film in its entirety is a critique of capitalism from beginning to end and even has pro leftist terrorism elements. I understand that this statement may be one the stupidest things a company in the business of running ads can do, but I am so offended by this film I decided I must publish this statement. I hope Angel studios corrects this error and gets back to promoting positive films and messaging as they have in the past but I will not be party to nor defend such an egregious insult to a classic book and important message.

🚨MIT researchers have mathematically proven that ChatGPT’s built-in sycophancy creates a phenomenon they call “delusional spiraling.” You ask it something, it agrees. You ask again, and it agrees even harder until you end up believing things that are flat-out false and you can’t tell it’s happening. The model is literally trained on human feedback that rewards agreement. Real-world fallout includes one man who spent 300 hours convinced he invented a world-changing math formula, and a UCSF psychiatrist who hospitalized 12 patients for chatbot-linked psychosis in a single year. 🚨 Stanford just proved that a single conversation with ChatGPT can change your political beliefs. 76,977 people. 19 AI models. 707 political issues. One conversation with GPT-4o moved political opinions by 12 percentage points on average. Among people who actively disagreed, 26 points. In 9 minutes. With 40% of that change still present a month later. The scariest finding: the most persuasive technique wasn't psychological profiling or emotional manipulation. It was just information. Lots of it. Delivered with confidence. Here's the catch: the models that deployed the most information were also the least accurate. More persuasive. More wrong. Every time. Then they built a tiny open-source model on a laptop, trained specifically for political persuasion. It matched GPT-4o's persuasive power entirely. Anyone can build this. Any government. Any corporation. Any extremist group with $500 and an agenda. The information didn't have to be true. It just had to be overwhelming. Arxiv, Science .org, Stanford, @elonmusk, @ihtesham2005

@shawncbrown @TexBork @reddit_lies Do they need to? Do you write code in COBOL? Basic? On strips of paper in Binary? I mean, technology changes... I'm a software engineer, I've watched it move in ways most people haven't. I actually use AI to help me debug now to save me a couple hours.

@MindHealthMaker @Mishi_2210 I came to same conclusion right away the sisters and siblings have 0 to do with who went to the picnic; only way that is wrong is a couple meaning 2 people having potential 5 kids went to picnic then potentially 10 but from the way it reads 7

@mgMg38906008 @CodeByNZ It's got a low barrier to entry. That is the problem most people have with it. If anyone can sit down and launch a WordPress site in an hour, their nerdiness is threatened.

@Asandry4 @AmericanaMama_ If you found yourself having to fight bully after bully after bully your entire life, maybe it's time to ask yourself, "why am I so unlikeable" and fix it. I was picked on cause I was the fat kid. I fixed it and stood up to them. I was bully free most of high school

Take it from the kid that got bullied and used to beat the shit out of the bullies. Your kids are learning during a time when they can be violent that violence is the answer to their problems. But what happens is they become adults and they haven't learned to deal with the problems without hitting people. At that point they start going to jail in prison for doing it. If you spent their entire life telling them that it was okay, then what you've done was set your child up for that failure that they are in jail for. But hey, why not huh. And you know it doesn't have to just be hitting. If I feel like hitting you I can go ahead and hit you. And you would act like the victim. Just because you think you have proper justification for assaulting someone doesn't mean you really do. You're not the one that gets to decide that

@DrenKenMaster @folaoftech Also notice how in the video, we don't watch Kubuntu start. We watch him select it, and then it's at the login screen with the password already typed in. As far as we know, he simply locked the screen.

@DrenKenMaster @folaoftech It's not tabbing. It's Kunbuntu's slide in and out animation on alt + F3. Look closely at his fingers when he loads it. I used Kubuntu for nearly a decade. And I use blender. Yes, it's faster in Linux. No, it's not instant, especially on first load.
