For the #M72Landover #BleedingMe recap, we’re turning things over to Brian, a Metallica fan who not only gives blood, but knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end. In 2004, Brian was involved in a near-fatal accident. He received 36 blood transfusions and 13 plasma treatments from the @RedCross, which he credits with saving his life. Two months after leaving the ICU, still in his wheelchair and the thick of recovery, he attended his first Metallica show. “[Yesterday]’s Red Cross x Metallica Blood Drive absolutely rocked on so many levels! It was such a cool experience walking into this drive and hearing Metallica’s greatest hits playing on the speakers, and then getting to donate with so many other big Metallica fans. The energy was definitely electric, and it was so special donating with my dad (a dedicated O+ donor), who is celebrating being 35 years cancer-free. Today is truly a day I will always treasure. ❤️🎸” Brian, we are so happy and appreciative that you and your dad could join us this week! 🤘 Next stop: the #M72Charlotte & #M72ATL drives on Friday. Remember, everyone who comes to donate blood will receive a limited-edition T-shirt, while supplies last.
