@RoyalMail⁩ Chief Executive is misleading the public. Only one of four trial sites in Scotland were successful. This is a Company and Service in Crisis. This man is a danger ⚠️ to your Postal Service share.google/QK6KCdtH8fxAiU…

No greater damage will be done to the cause of independence than the facts of independence itself, no matter which party tries to dress it up. Time for unity, not division.
BBC Debate Night@bbcdebatenight

“The SNP have probably… done more damage to the cause of independence than Labour Party and the Conservative party put together” Journalist @kmckenna63 says “root and branch” reform of the SNP is required otherwise independence is “done” #bbcdn bbc.in/3VZJiTr

To understand how superficial this Labour win is you only need to zoom out. After 14 years in office, the Tories are truly spent. They have nothing to offer. Redolent of Blair’s win in 1997, a well-fed show pig would have won. But party backers and strategists understand the importance of breaks in power that allow for party consolidation and reinvention — but only provided that power doesn’t fall to candidates that will challenge the status quo during those breaks. The Tories were going to eventually lose — this is the perfect time, for them, to do so. In practice, the Tories handing the reins to a Labour Party that broadly supports all the same policies is a win for those the Tories represent — the ruling class. They know that eventually us plebs have to see a term or two under a different government to appease us, but they know Starmer won’t challenge their wealth and power and privilege during this period. In fact, they’re so chuffed that Starmer is their man, versus someone like Corbyn who’d have taxed the shit out of them to help reduce inequality, that they’re out in their droves supporting him. And so it goes: the veneer of democracy is upheld while nothing material will change. So, no, this is not a win for the common person; on the contrary, it’s a win for those who oppress us. And anyone celebrating this is a useful idiot, naively greasing the wheels of our shared exploitation.

Never mind National Service NEVER forget the VIP PPE LANE Here's Part 12 of my series with @goodlawproject Another horror story of Tories and Sunak funnelling money to their "associates" @RachelReevesMP will appoint a Covid CORRUPTION Commissioner 👍🏼👍🏼
Carol Vorderman@carolvorders

#TheVIPFiles Scandal PART 12 Another story of the appalling Tory VIP Covid PPE Lane 🔹£551m given to 9 companies for PPE 🔹37% of it was useless 🔹But they walked away with massive profits, and they've kept them. I remain incandescent with rage about how anyone could think of profiteering at a time when the country was so desperate. Working with @goodlawproject to bring you more on this scandal

Royal Mail is taking Millions in profit and still attempting to reduce our postal service. People can only afford second class stamps! If Royal Mail succeed in downgrading the USO - workers pay, conditions & jobs and our vital community service will be dismantled for profit.

“We arranged for nurses to have a very good pay rise” says @RishiSunak It was a crappy real terms pay cut & nurses rejected his derisory offer - more than 100,000 @theRCN members voted in favour of extending NHS nursing strikes in England but due to draconian trade union laws turnout in that ballot didn’t meet the required threshold
Peter Stefanovic@PeterStefanovi2

Jeez! Prime Minister @RishiSunak just bull****ed his way through tonight’s interview with everything from nurses got a good pay rise to blaming doctors for NHS waiting lists to how great he’s doing on his pledges! If you are as sick of this boll**** as I am RT this widely

I’ve not seen this mentioned elsewhere yet but the government has a direct seat on the Post Office Board plus another through its investment group. That’s two individuals who have overseen and done absolutely nothing about this whole scandal. Please RT @carolvorders
