@Peter_Bukowski So the plan is to rely on one play for an entire position group to be “fine”?
English

That's what we thought last year and for as long as Micah Parsons was healthy, they were fine at CB.
Most rookies are bad.
Nearly all rookie CBs are bad.
Justin Ferguson@JFERGG33
@Peter_Bukowski if they don’t address corner in the top 4 rounds thatsssss bad
English

@AaronNagler So why doesn’t the head coach lean into him more? 🤷🏻♂️
Am in total agreement here that Love is the guy. Just doesn’t really feel like the coach coaches like he is.
English

Let me take care of that for you. Love is the guy.
Hegatron@heggermania
@RossUglem It's really hard to know if Love is the guy when MLF wont turn him loose so we can all find out.
English

@smboettch @AndyHermanNFL Yeah. That was still in the old playoff rules where the top 2 teams got byes. They beat Seattle in 2019 and lost the nfc championship. They beat the rams in 2020 and lost to the bucs in the nfc championship. They have never won more than 1 playoff game in a season.
English

@brianmac_AP @AndyHermanNFL Gute has been there since 2018 as GM and MLF since 2019. They had two runs to the NFC championship so more than one win
English

The MLF/Brian Gutekunst Packers feel like they are at a crossroads this offseason. On today's show, I review why a little drama & chaos may not be the worst for this team & if handled correctly, it could get the Packers exactly where they want to go!

@zacobson This is a good one, but the Javon Bullard near interception vs. Giants where McDuffie just absolutely lays him out and breaks up the pass is what comes to mind for me.
English

@wendellfp You might see some minor improvement with a new coordinator and voice. But until they find a decent/competent returner, and a kicker that can make meaningful kicks. Expect more of the same.
English

My favorite name is probably Devin Fitzsimmons. He's the Seahawks special teams assistant, they were 2nd by DVOA.
More about him and other options here 👇
Wendell Ferreira@wendellfp
Rich Bisaccia is out. Timing complicates things, but there are some intriguing replacement options: atozsports.com/nfl/green-bay-…

@AaronNagler I honestly see both sides. The snow games are fun and outdoor winter games are a great aesthetic. But it’s also nice just watching the games play out without dealing with any other elements, like I’m happy to watch JSN today just run his routes without dealing with snow.
English

@jasonjwilde @WISCTV_News3 Ok, so send a draft pick to the Seahawks. I’m sure there were ways to make it work.
English

@brianmac_AP @WISCTV_News3 They actually did. It didn't make the story because it's long as it is, but Schneider had a clause in his early #Seahawks contracts that gave him an out to leave to join one team: The #Packers. But that clause was gone by 2018.
English

On @WISCTV_News3 ~ With the #Patriots and #Seahawks being built by two Ron Wolf protégés, #SuperBowlLX is a testament to the #Packers legend. "There's a tremendous amount of pride," Eliot Wolf said early Sunday morning. "It's special for him and for us."

@mattschneidman “Now that Matt lafleur has signed his extension and my job will be covering him, I’ll now say that this is a great decision!”
English

I certainly understand those who didn’t want Matt LaFleur extended.
However, I think Ed Policy made the right decision.

@itsjustChrisnow He doesn’t even make those plays in the game if Melton doesn’t get hurt in Minnesota. Crazy thing to say, but i think it’s true.
English

Hey imagine if your play caller had made more of an effort to get him the ball all season!
Hogg@HoggNFL
Jordan Love on Matthew Golden’s playoff performance ⤵️ “I think his touchdown catch was one of the more impressive plays of the seasons” Golden in his first career playoff game: 8 rec, 84 yards, 1 td
English

@jasonjwilde More and more stats come out from this season that should point to lafleur being out.
English

@AndyHermanNFL If bo melton doesn’t get hurt in the Vikings game, do we even have the Matthew golden moments we had last night?
English

@evthered1 @AaronNagler The Golden experience in itself is a fireable offense! You literally spammed targets for Bo melton all season while he sat on the bench and/or didn’t get targeted. If Bo melton doesn’t get hurt in the Vikings game, I bet the Matthew golden stuff we saw yesterday doesn’t happen.
English

@brianmac_AP @AaronNagler And we drafted our WR5 instead of some solid Corners that were on the board

This is a guy who knows he's going to be on the street looking for a gig soon and doesn't want to risk an injury. Seen it before.

@zachkruse2 @TomSilverstein @BillHuberNFL What’s going to change next season if he’s still the coach?
English

Two of the longest serving Packers beat writers, @TomSilverstein and @BillHuberNFL, have both written today that they believe the Packers should move on from Matt LaFleur.
English

@RossUglem I can’t think of a more uninspired thing to do than to keep MLF for next season and beyond.
English

@JuMosq He’s never been a great pass rusher. Fans clinged to that quote from the old linebackers coach who said something about pressures being more important than sacks and then a just kept pointing at his pressure numbers as proof to how great he is. He’s never had double digit sacks
English

I tried to look up historical comparisons for how bad of a pass-rusher Rashan Gary has been.

English

@TylerHerrick And he even talked about how it should be a priority! Went into detail about how they have done studies and hall of fame trajectory WRs are worth giving third contracts to. The only thing I can think of is if the Bakhtiari contract/situation scared him away from it.
English

@brianmac_AP Hard to disagree. They should’ve made it a priority from the start.
