Zimbabwe's First Lady, Cde Auxillia Mnangagwa, today joined thousands of football fans at the National Sports Stadium as Scotland FC took on CAPS United in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter. Welcoming the reopening of the refurbished stadium, the First Lady congratulated all those who contributed to restoring the iconic national facility and urged supporters to promote peace, unity and sportsmanship. She emphasized that football should unite families and communities, calling for an end to violence and hooliganism while encouraging a safe and family-friendly atmosphere for all supporters.

Hanzi National Sports Stadium is ready and looking beautiful. 🤦🏾 At this point, I am convinced some people define beauty by comparing things to drought-stricken maize fields. The whole pitch looks like it has survived three El Niño seasons back-to-back, but somehow we are being told it's world-class. If that's beauty, then we need a national emergency on taste and eyesight before we worry about football.
