It was a thrill to return to @LSEnews for the official naming of the Sir Arthur Lewis Building — home of @LSEEcon! 🙌🏾 Sir Arthur was LSE’s first Black academic and the UK’s first Black professor. Moving this project from concept to reality was a long, but rewarding journey.

To date, the best cross-examination I have seen in my entire career came from her. She was famous for leaving no stone unturned pursuing justice for her clients. In some ways, she seemed immortal. I am very sad to hear this news.

Talking “Reglobalization” with African Diaspora Youth at the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies @SOAS, organized by the Mount Motherland Group - A diaspora organisation of young Africans. Their question was: how can Reglobalization help Africa integrate better into the World Trading System. At a fireside chat moderated by Professor Olivette Otele. Many thanks to Mount Motherland. A well organised event and a super enthusiastic audience!

Shout out to my coach and mentor Glen Mills - 20 years ago I started working with this legend and it would change the course of my career and life. When I first came onto the professional scene as a sprinter I thought it would be easy… He taught me the importance of learning from losing before I could get to the top. Infinite respect to Coach Mills for everything you taught me - Living legend. 🙏🏿

Oneil Stevens was more than a Principal, he was a partner for change. An educator that cared about his students and their families. He was present and active. Most of all, he understood the power of reading and literacy. Here’s a clip of him at the first ReadingNReasoning 💔

Today, it is with humility and a great sense of honour that I thank each and every one of the 166 WTO members for the consensus they achieved in supporting my reappointment! Thank you for the wonderful words of recognition and support. I don’t take this lightly. I also want to thank my colleagues in the Secretariat Staff for their dedication and hard work. This is an enormous responsibility and I will redouble my efforts to work with each and every member to try and deliver the results this organization needs, including the necessary reforms to make it fit for 21st century challenges. We’ve done it before, we can do it again! I am also grateful to my family, my country, to the Africa Region, and to all my friends and colleagues from all over the world who have reached out with hundreds of congratulatory messages. Thank you for the recognition!
