@bricef99 @TwinkieGlidden @LeadingReport I mean, it's possible, albeit unlikely, that the defendants will let the ruling stand. But as it works it's way through the courts, each judge adds their opinion, and the lawyers get to add their arguments, at least until it can no longer be escalated.

Look, I hear you. I don't like gerrymandering either. Republicans control the senate, the house, have the presidency, and are 6-3 on SCOTUS. They could ban gerrymandering. They could've stopped this and all other gerrymanders If they wanted to. Ask yourself: "Why don't they?"

@bricef99 @LeadingReport They can’t fast track to the Supreme Court until there’s a judgment recorded. State cases can’t start in the Supreme Court. That’s why this happened.

@CheryMy @LeadingReport No I agree with you, I just think big cases like this should be fast tracked honestly. It would prevent all the BS circuit court judge injunctions and stalling out the system for months.

There is no need to secure election integrity, and ensure that non-citizens aren’t voting in federal elections when there is zero evidence supporting the idea that they are. Laws already exist and they are working.

ballotpedia.org/Proof_of_citiz… Only 12 states require you to provide proof of citizenship to register to vote in at least some cases. The rest only make you declare you are a US citizen. And here in California I don’t even have to show my license in order to cast a vote. In fact if I try, they won’t let me and say that they can’t look at it.

Virginia was one of the most balanced states in the Union. Democrats have manipulated people into thinking this power grab was to “balance out” what Texas is doing, when in reality California has already balanced that out with Prop 50. This wasn’t to “balance something out”. It was to grab as much power as possible.
