Garlic Mustard (Jack by the Hedge) in my Sheffield garden. Larval host plant of the Orange Tip butterfly. The patch is the lushest and most extensive it has ever been. Hopefully feeding a large crop of caterpillars! 🦋

Here is a stunning male Red Grouse looking into my lens. A good time to see these birds in their breeding plumage is in April. Just look at it's red coat and the beautiful red 'wattle' above the eye. Join me on a Moorland Birds Photography Experience... yorkshirecoastnature.co.uk/workshops/80/2…

Spring is slowly upon us and I can't wait to get back into the North York Moors National Park to hear the beautiful sound of the Curlew. When I hear them calling across the valleys it is this call that announces for me that spring is finally here #curlew #spring #northyorkmoors

Many hours spent at this time of year hoping to glimpse the very elusive Goshawk briefly straying out of the depths of the woods to display Got a result the other day, albeit a bit distant. Such a thrill to briefly see them. It's far better than having a proper job @nybirdnews
