Update on #ThisLittleLad (See below) This little lad faced sustained, extreme 'man-made' trauma for many years. He was raped by a man, tortured by a man, abused by a man, bullied by men, suffered violence by men. (the problem & issues clearly lie with men) he was mocked by men, gaslight by men, dismissed & disbelieved by men. (Of course not all men) Yet...when he was eventually able to ask for help was supported by mostly women, in fact most of the charities & orgs that support victims & survivors are made up of amazing women. 🙏🏼 (Thank you all💙) That little lad was me👇🏼 I now talk publicly to help others just like myself. I use this platform as a voice 📣 I am quiet, (i don't like the spotlight) peaceful person who genuinely cares about others. I am grateful for all the amazing support. 🙏🏼 I have never once made a single penny for my work in this area, I refused major book deals, media, honours, awards. Last year my posts had millions of views. (All focused on the issues & obstacles many victims & survivors face). I can assure you my life is not all about trauma, It's not all I think or talk about. Self-care & balance is vital to be successful in the long term. I enjoy many things in life, humour, art, music, family, friends. Many of my friends think I had a privilaged upbringing & graduated from some nice uni, they know little or nothing about my history. I've lived in some of the most deprived, violent council estates (projects) in the UK & the care system & barely survived to tell the tale, no uni yet I excelled in my work. I am proud of who I am & what I stand for. So...whats been happening? Many have asked why i have been so quiet lately. (Public speaking, voluntary roles etc) Fyi. I am not taking on public speaking engagements, media articles or voluntary roles atm. (Not because I don't want to do so) Why? All i can say is I am a serving police officer, I have been left with no choice but to make several complaints/grievances/challenges about the poor treatment I received in the police force since I decided to speak publicly as a rape, abuse & torture survivor to make positive change, this includes my secondment to the NPCC (National Police Chiefs Council) VAWG team at their request in 2022. I returned all my policing medals, awards & commendations because of the treatment I received. It has not been a good time for me & has gone on for a number of years. The grievance ongoing therefore I cannot discuss this further atm. Sadly, it almost led to my suicide on duty, thankfully I sought help at the last minute & I'm glad i did. @JamesPlaceUK 👏🏼💙 Too many police officers sadly taking their own lives atm. No a lot of support in the service tbh. Moving forward my future is uncertain career wise because of my stand. This could put my home at risk. I want polcing to be successful, thats in everyone's best interests. I have always acted with integrity, honesty & respect & will never change that. I have done nothing wrong. As far as i know I am the only serving police officer talking publicly as a rape survivor in the UK. That has not been easy! Why did i choose to make this unusual decision? To make a difference & use my extensive lived & professional experience to help make positive change. Not everyone appreciated or supported my decision. It was my decision to make. I do not regret it! Make a difference they say, well...I went way above & beyond & here we are. Thank you for your kind support. 🙏🏼💙✊🏼 #ThisLittleLad

I just emailed Kyiv Zoo asking them to create an account for Stepan the lynx on this platform. I think we could all use more Stepan content and learn about the other animals in the zoo too. Am I right, fellas?
