I know you hate me on here… But the biggest thing that divides us isn’t actually left or right Pro or anti-immigration We all just want to work hard, earn well, live a good life & trust we’ll be looked after But billionaires will instead have us warring with each other…

Firstly, Let me introduce myself… My name is Emma, I’m a 49-year-old woman living in an assisted living home in Liverpool. After a long and gruelling illness, I now require care—care I’m incredibly grateful for. I share my home with 17 other incredible adults, all navigating life with their own challenges, united in resilience and the will to simply survive. But sadly, our story isn’t just about resilience…. It’s also about neglect.

@hazmattmum OK. I'm more there than here now. I'm buying a holiday home in France! In Pays de la Loire not the south as I prefer green and its only a short drive from the ferry. Husband despairing; he thinks its madness.

1. I don’t often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital. Here's Jane & me in happier times.

@terrychristian The system probably does need a total overhaul but the outcome of this move will be that the farm gets sold to either a private equity firm or a massive farming conglomerate, neither of whom will care a jot about the environment, farming with a long view or the local economy.

Poor bloke - Farm worth 12 million quid and so will pay £600,000 inheritance tax but can do it over ten years - imagine how we'd all struggle inheriting on 11.4 million quid . Should do a Go Fund Me page . I don't know how I'll sleep worrying about them paying a share ( fair share 40% of everything)
No Farmers, No Food@NoFarmsNoFoods

“I feel like I've worked all my life and everything I've ever earned is going to go on tax.” This farmer in East Yorkshire could be left paying a £600,000 inheritance tax bill under the Labour government's new farming farm tax rules.

Must watch explanation on clean energy by @g__j on #BBCQT - also watch Tim Stanley squirm repeatedly when Jackson gives answers Greg Jackson, "We've crossed the rubicon.. Clean energy is now cheaper than fossil fuels" "Power from wind and solar is cheaper than power from fossil fuels" "Consumers don't see the benefits because our markets are run in the old traditional way" "We need market reform so when we build wind farms, people get cheaper energy" "It doesn't help that we are paying wind farms to turn off when it's windy, instead of giving people cheap power at those times" "59% of all of the renewable energy has been built in China" Fiona Bruce, "They're also building huge coal plants" Greg Jackson, "The majority will never be used, they'll be mothballed" "Why are they building green energy? It's not because they're nice people. Now they recognise clean energy is cheaper, and energy is the engine of growth for their industry, they're investing in it" "Six or seven years ago if you went to Chinese cities people wore face mask because of air pollution.. That's gone" Tim Stanley, "If you have a period where the wind dies and the sun doesn't shine, what happens, you have to rely on back up.. Rely on gas.. Import the power from overseas" Greg Jackson, "Allow me to help you with this answer.. As somebody who buys more power than anybody in the UK.. I can give you an authoritative answer on what to do" "An electric car holds enough power in its battery for a typical house in the best part of the week" "As more and more electric cars hit our roads, we have distributed storage of electricity, days on end, without wind" "It's not the whole solution but it's a big part of it.. And it helps us reduce our reliance on things like those fossil fuel backups" "It's always windy somewhere, it's always sunny somewhere.. As we connect our country to others.. When they're windy we get their power, when we're windy we sell ours to them" "By the way, we are one of the windiest places in the world.. This is a huge export opportunity for the UK"

Bye bye @theJeremyVine. I'm fed up of daft guests with extreme views invited on in order to create drama rather than reasoned discussion. But the last straw is the disproportionate amount of airtime given to Nigel Farage. Hello @wrobinson101 instead.

@FishwickDavid I think of my grandad. He was one of 9 in his company of 400 who survived at Gallipoli. My dad's memories of him include his father hiding under the kitchen table crying. My dad was born 17 years after the Gallipoli campaign.

Really is incredible to think that the Tories announced compensation for victims of two scandals, then did nothing to arrange the money. Labour has had to put aside a massive chunk of the money they secured yesterday to fulfil a promise the previous government made.

The Taliban have now BANNED women from hearing each other’s voices in public or private settings. This is nothing short of vile, inhumane barbarity. It’s not just oppression—it’s a ruthless assault on Afghan women’s very existence. lbc.co.uk/news/taliban-b…
