@Financhle @rnewton7777 It's interesting that all of the volume today is mostly in shares. Not a lot of speculation on OTM calls (Only two purchases I saw are below). And no real movement with leaps, either. But shares were 5X typical volume today.

Hard to turn down lol? It’s a 14% premium to the current price… that won’t be nearly enough to excite eBay board members. They’d grow that much organically in the next year. eBay isn’t a shrinking business that needs a lifeline, they’re going to come back and say $150-160 is the minimum they’d consider pondering the acquisition

@Financhle @alexandr_wang You have to move your comma :) But yes, I did get lucky.

At 9:55am EST a trader purchased 1k contracts of Meta $META $615 strike call options for $20k and again doubled down at 10:28am EST buying another 1k contracts for $5k. These options were over 3% OTM, an incredible unlikely gamble. At 12:01pm EST, @alexandr_wang announces the launch of a new AI model for the company, sending the stock soaring to ~$630. The $25k position is now worth ~$220k... did someone know something?

English

@Financhle With the extra contract days/wk on these Mag 7 stocks, I have a harder time justifying way OTM contracts like this because the IV crush, theta decay now play out like SPY; if the stock price doesn't move hard in your favor on day one, the contracts get killed FAST.

@TMediaDetective @ERCboxoffice podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the…
He discusses at the 7:20 mark, but the whole episode is a good listen.
English

@brif @ERCboxoffice I didn't think that's true at all, though, considering how big a deal he made about how only he and his wife were the distributors, and the only way they could get bookings was by fans calling theaters to ask them to show the film
English

IRON LUNG made over $40M domestic. Let that sink in. An independent release made $40M at the domestic box office. There are spaces out there not being filled. Distributors should take a long, hard look at what happened here. This is big time. This is about the future sustainability of the theatrical industry.
English

@TMediaDetective @ERCboxoffice I think the more accurate statement would be: he hired distribution professionals to white label a theatrical release for him
English

@ERCboxoffice What's funny is that Mark did it without the use of a distribution company because they were asking too big of a cut of the profit

@juiceboxlines @EarningsLottos $66 to $76 and closing the week at $56. Wild two days.

@JvsticeXI @ViralOps_ I love how so many of these "directors" are patting themselves on the back. "And the Oscar for Best Prompt goes to..."
English

@ViralOps_ Yes, cool. It's a visual wonder.
I want to see AI tackle dramatic scenes that evokes emotion.
Until that is possible, any attempt to make an AI movie that isn't flashy "memberberries" will be the choke point.
Without original characters that are memorable, it's just garbage.

Anyways, recently looked at how Docusign possibly employs 7,000 people. After reading their 10Ks, analyst reports and forums.
I wrote on findings and regret to inform you it makes sense. readtrung.com/p/how-does-doc…

Traditional SaaS is dead.
I asked Claude to vibe code a Docusign replacement.
6 hours and 450k lines of code later it built a drag-and-drop PDF signer, initials stamps, and a very satisfying “signature complete” animation.
So, the first 45 contracts we used it for auto-selected governing law at random. Every agreement is void. We lost $473K in bookings and I have in-person courts dates in 18 countries over the next week.
But, man, was the dynamic completion checkmark graphic sick.

@CMSinvestments @Financhle "slightly profitable" with that bid/ask spread is asking a lot... algorithm bait.
