@rickygervais I was playing golf at Kingsbarn, it was pouring with rain and I didn’t have the proper rain kit, I was literally soaked. On the one hole there were 4 caddies huddled together and they were looking at me and mumbling, I asked “why are you looking at me like that?” To which they replied, “we think you look like Wayne Rooney”, “Thanks” was my reply, to which they replied “it’s not a fucken compliment” 😂😂😂😂.

The British kids pay around £7500 a year and the internationals around £25000. They have to lower the standards for internationals because there are so few that can afford that price! And they have to charge the internationals that price so the British kids can keep paying around £7500. Supply, demand, simple maths. Nothing sinister about the different qualifying grades. If the British kids paid £15000 (say) then you wouldn’t need international kids to make up the gross fees!

Don’t be such party poopers, two drunken brawls between testosterone filled A-holes does not cast a shadow on the event. I watched the one clip, what needs attention is why security did not step in, it seemed like they allowed the idiots to carry on despite the screaming women. The security company needs to answer for that, but “casting a shadow over the event”, come on, pipe down.

The inaugural LIV Golf South Africa wrapped up as a roaring success on Sunday, but not without controversy. At least two violent fan incidents surfaced on social media, casting a shadow over the tournament’s debut. #LIVGolfSA #FanViolence @IOLsport Read on tinyurl.com/y99ej9na

JUST ASKING FOR A FRIEND - and with respect to the players, but many are really struggling to call this current T20 Series between #NZvSA a full ‘International Series’ - @BLACKCAPS vs @ProteasMenCSA The reason is that this is and has been more like an ‘A’ Team Series as many of the top players are simply not playing or available…and so ‘International Caps’ are being presented on a plate to many new debutants - which is great for them and well done, but it’s not NZ’s best vs SA’s best - country against country at the highest level… Is this not where such fixtures could called an ‘A’ Series or an ‘Emerging Squad’ Series - like in the past …? The ‘top players’ we know are all preparing or are already all at the IPL - which then just highlights the point of this question / post… 🧐🏏🧐 #cricket #SAvNZ #SAvsNZ #T20

Why does no one call it what it’s is? It’s South Africa A vs NZ A. It’s wrong to bestow these players with Protea colours when they, and we, know that they’re not in the mix for the A team. The team that played the World Cup are the Proteas, this is not a Proteas team. “International” T20 series between world cups are always a farce.

This T20 series really isn’t doing much for the ‘brands’ of Black Caps and Proteas. Very modest stuff…

I must say, I do understand the weather and all that, but I purchased tickets on the day they went on sale. I happen to live in Ballito and have booked to fly up and down based on the 12h05 start. South Africa is a big place, surely this event was for all South Africans, just for the record, this 2 hour change to the start time is messing me around.

@nimishdubey If you are so naive to believe that money paid to a professional sportsman is funding the death of Indian soldiers then the propaganda and hate in your country is even worse than I thought, so sad.

Here we go again. Such thoughts seemed wholly absent when India was playing Pakistan in the World Cup - a match which contributed much more to Pakistan cricket in terms of revenue, than the signing of a single player in the IPL. We need to simply stop playing Pakistan, instead of keeping this on/off button mode.
Cricketopia@CricketopiaCom

Sunil Gavaskar has criticised the Indian-owned franchise Sunrisers Leeds for signing Abrar Ahmed in the The Hundred Draft. Gavaskar said that money paid to players from Pakistan could indirectly contribute to the deaths of Indian soldiers and civilians, expressing strong disapproval of the decision.

@nimishdubey This sort of radical political comment by Gavaskar has no place in cricket, he should be fired from all commentary gigs. What a revolting human.

@brinjithebirdne @CricketopiaCom I wasn’t talking about Hudson’s innings in the video- I was referring to Hudson’s Durban innings of 80 that @CricketopiaCom was talking about in his post. Should have made myself clearer.

Happy Birthday Andrew Hudson He was the first South African to score a century on Test debut. Known for his calm personality, he was famously given a fiery send-off by Shane Warne in 1993-94. Though his average later dipped, Hudson produced key innings, including a brilliant 80 against India in Durban (1996), where no other batter crossed 35. Played 35 Tests and 89 ODIs and was part of two World Cups (1992 & 1996)

@CricketopiaCom Is that the Durban Test match where India got bowled out for 100 in the first innings and 66 in the second innings? I only remember how “all at sea” our batting was, I didn’t realize that South African batsmen also struggled. I remember Venkatesh Prasad taking 10 wickets

@BrandonStraka @sharrond62 Why is it a surprise that these actors and actresses have no concept of reality? They live in a fake bubble where it’s woke and “in” to be lefties and/or alternative. Nothing they say or do, other than act, can be taken seriously.
