As a single mom of three teenagers, I know firsthand how expensive college has become. Tuition-free college allows us to put money back in families' pockets and restore the promise California once made to its students.

Do liberal athletes have to address their teammates to discuss their political affiliation too? Or is it just a conservative thing?

#Giants QB Jaxson Dart addressed teammates in a meeting yesterday to discuss his introduction of President Trump last week, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Other team leaders spoke up as well, and Dart and the players worked through it. They are moving forward.

@MikeGarafolo @RapSheet How exactly does a Black teammate move forward with a quarterback who openly supports a man whose rhetoric and actions have consistently targeted Black people, and who was adjudicated liable for sexual abuse?

@MSTODAYnews The Klan was evil. Now we have the NAACP, Bennie Thompson, and Hakeem Jeffries who have vowed to discriminate openly against whites. They are evil as well. Racial discrimination is evil. It has no place here!

In a culture of scary skinny coming back, I want to share this comparison. On the left I am age 42 and 108lbs. On the right I am age 47 and 118lbs. This is the difference improved mental health and appetite make. I didn’t have an eating disorder but sure wasn’t happy. FFS eat!

@CultureExploreX Good point. Very fair point. It also teaches to get it done no matter what. Achieve even in adverse conditions. Persevere. Compete. Tune out the outside distractions. Kids need to learn that as well.

A civilization begins to weaken when its leaders can follow instructions but cannot make decisions. A graduation ceremony should teach young people that achievement deserves dignity. Instead, Centennial High School gave them a lesson in institutional stupidity. Four years of work ended with students sitting soaked in the rain because someone treated a “Rain or Shine” policy like sacred law instead of using basic judgment. This is how societies lose their ability to think. Rules become excuses. Policies replace common sense. Adults hide behind procedure while children pay the price. The issue was never the rain but that no one in charge had the courage to say, “This is ridiculous. Move it inside. Delay it. Protect the students.”

@MSTODAYnews Every person regardless of race or gender gets one vote. Now districts shouldn’t discriminate based upon race per SCOTUS. So be colorblind. That’s not “going backwards”

A graduation ceremony in Franklin, Tennessee turned into a soaking wet controversy after officials decided to keep the event outdoors during a torrential downpour. Footage from the ceremony shows graduates crossing the stage in heavy rain while families sat drenched in the stands as the storm moved through the area. Now some parents are demanding answers, saying students deserved better and arguing the conditions became unsafe.

Jaxson Dart can support whomever he wants. That’s not the problem. The problem is that who you support is often attached to what you support, and if who you support has policies that hurt POC, how can your teammates trust you to support them?

And no, I do not expect Jaxson Dart being pro-Trump or Abdul Carter checking his QB publicly to be an issue in the locker room. Players play alongside guys who have been accused of and committed criminal acts. They play for owners who are Trump supporters, and I’m sure most locker rooms have MAGA supporters. The average NFL career is 3-5 years. Most players care about their next check/contract, and winning. Some might be side-eyeing Dart, but guys play alongside players they don’t like all the time.

@BenjaminSWatson @iwrite2praise Actually it’s not okay to disagree with SCOTUS in this case. If you do you are racist. SCOTUS said the stop using race in drawing districts and treat everyone equally. Don’t discriminate based upon race!

Bruce, what are you taking about? Hate and conspiracy? Stop make false claims and inserting your personal thoughts about how athletes are treated when that has nothing to do with anything Jeffries said. You already know this but the argument made was not about how athletes at SEC schools, including those you’ve coached, are treated or whether education is important. It’s okay to disagree about the SCOTUS decision and its ramifications. It’s okay to disagree with the call for athletes to activate but that’s not how one engages in honest substantive debate. You know better. The attempt at deflection is weak but I’m sure a lot of folks will bite.
Bruce Pearl@coachbrucepearl

Ive been privileged to spend nearly two decades coaching in the SEC. Our student athletes are beloved, supported and challenged to be great! Im disappointed you are using your platform to perpetuate hate and conspiracy rather than improving education 4 all nypost.com/2026/05/19/us-…
