The SoilTemp-network hoped to accelerate the foundation of microclimate science as a global discipline. With a new perspective piece in @GEB_macro, we put that ambition into words. Let me tell you why this paper is so important 👇 the3dlab.org/2024/04/09/mic…

The lack of evidence for declining local diversity through time must be because everything is homogenizing, leading to larger-scale losses. Right?! Nope, says our analysis of 500+ meta-communities through time published @ScienceAdvances @idiv science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

I am delighted to have published an article in Science alongside @InesISMartins and many other amazing colleagues. Since 1960, we find generalised shrinking in organism sizes, but with wide variation within and between organisms. Article link: science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Ever wondered about island oddities that got really big (rodents of unusual size) or small (tiny elephants) compared to mainland ancestors? Led by @Rozzi_Roberto, we found the most extreme giants and dwarfs were most likely to go extinct (or be endangered) science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Excited to share the infographic which I made in collaboration with the @UoNGeography, @notts_psych and @lborogeog! We aim to create interdisciplinary understanding of the issues, public perception and future research directions of freshwater pollution in the UK.
