My Top 4!!! Where is home 🏡? I have been so blessed to have received the attention and opportunities to continue my education and playing the game I love. I have been able to see alot of amazing programs and meet so many wonderful coaches with their staff. @rob_stod How about sticking to either blue or Navy. Imagine Penn State suddenly wearing royal or Air Force wearing navy. Provo tries so hard yet doesn’t even have their own school color down.

Morgan Scalley has hired former Utah great Jordan Gross as the program's next offensive line coach. For those curious, Gross comes from the high school ranks, where he recently just coached Utah's first-ever 5-star recruit Kelvin Obot.

@washbored4 @KramerHolle He PLAYED for UTAH! He chose to be a grad assistant and then CHOSE to learn everything he knows for 17 years at Utah under WHITT. You are just plain in denial that Jay Hill was anything but a UTAH man and loyal to the man that taught him everything for almost half his career!!!

@brittonzane_ @KramerHolle This is just stupid. Before he ever played or coached, he always professed wanting to be at BYU when he was younger. He was a huge Cougar fan who grew up near campus, as was his family at the time.

This is why I don’t wish coaches that leave “the best.” Jay Hill will have no qualms stealing our coaches and trying to steal our players or recruits. While he’s in Michigan blue, he’s not our friend. And I don’t particularly care to see him succeed.

Michigan is expected to hire BYU cornerbacks coach and defensive pass game coordinator Jernaro Gilford, sources tell @CBSSports. Worked at BYU with new Michigan DC Jay Hill and helped the team rank top 20 nationally in scoring defense this season.

@MaizeSignal Whittingham had one undefeated season 16 years ago. He is NOT an elite college head coach.

BREAKING: Michigan is hiring Alex Whittingham as their next LB coach. Alex, son of HC Kyle Whittingham, has been the assistant DL coach for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2019. #GoBlue〽️

@jasonmcgowan @UMichFootball Wishing Jay Hill and Jayson Beck all the best, can’t blame them for taking these jobs. But I’m very upset at BYU villain, Kyle Whittingham, he couldn’t beat BYU on the field so he decided to dismantle their successful coaching staff. Hopefully the carnage isn’t too bad.

I can’t stop playing the what if game with this BYU football team. Calling those games and seeing how good this team was. Top 4 all time team in BYU history. Watching TCU embarrass USC and knowing that’s the tip of the postseason proof iceberg. Utah should embarrass Nebraska. Cincy should beat 10-2 Navy. Arizona should beat SMU to end as a 10 win team. Texas Tech has the talent to ride this baby to the big show. And BYU just beat Georgia Tech with their 2 most important players out. BYU was a CFP team. They were cheated. I hope 2026 AP voters see that and give BYU big Pre season ranking credit. 2026 has a real chance to be special. Let’s get Spring Ball started.

@jasonmcgowan @CoachJayHill Maybe settle some of your lawsuits like child labor first before trying to convince a Utah man to be reunited with his mentor. Jay Hill played for Utah and then chose to spend 17 years at Utah to become a D guru from Whitt. Jay Hill is the ultimate Utah man!

Jay Hill @CoachJayHill Cougar Nation, what would Jay staying mean to you? Jay, you've poured your heart into Cougar Nation, turning our defense into one of the best in the nation, building unbreakable bonds with players who call you family, and helping deliver the program's first 12-win season in decades. BYU isn't just a job; it's home. It's where your legacy is being written in Provo, surrounded by faith, family, and fans who love you like one of our own through thick and thin. What would it mean to finish what you started here? To watch those young men you recruited and coached become legends under your guidance? Cougar Nation is all in for you. We are grateful for you. Cougar Nation, share below what Jay staying would mean to YOU (your memories, your gratitude, your hopes). The most moving response wins 2026 BYU season tickets. Let's surround him with love as he is making an important decision. 💙🏈 #LoveBomb #JayStay #Cougars

Coach Whitt may have dominated Michigan as a head coach, but that wasn’t the case as a DC. In 2002, Shantee Orr and Michigan’s defense held Utah to 13 rushing yards in a 10-7 win. Julius Curry’s two INTs sealed it. Whitt’s defense still only gave up 10 😉 #SundaySacks #GoBlue

@BYUMaximus You seriously struggle. Jay Hill is a Utah man! He chose to play football for Utah. He then chose to become a football coach and grad assistant. He then chose to spend almost 20 years at Utah learning everything from Whitt.

Taking a job at M ichigan means living in a shadow. Here is why: At Michigan—especially following Harbaugh and potentially stepping in after Kyle—Jay Hill isn’t writing an origin story. He’s inheriting one. Even if he succeeds, the narrative will always be framed by what existed before him and who cleared the path. That’s not a knock on Michigan; it’s just how blue-blood programs work. History looms large, and credit is rarely clean. At BYU, the story is fundamentally different. He’s not the next chapter in a long book—he’s helping author the book. Culture, identity, trajectory. That kind of legacy doesn’t show up in ESPN segments the same way, but it resonates deeply with the people who actually live it. He’s trending as “a defensive LaVell Edwards”. Besides, we don’t know when Kalani will be ready to step away and open the door. No one knows but God how things will unfold. That informs the way I choose. Try! Michigan success brings more national respect . No argument there. But “national respect” isn’t the only currency people value, and it’s not the one most fans are spending when they emotionally invest here in Happy Valley. For many of us, the question isn’t “what’s the smartest career move?” It’s “when is enough, enough—and who remembers where they were built?” And “Who are we building it for?” This is who I am and how I frame the question of my own success and I make no apologies for that because it puts the most important things at the core.

@CMSgoblue1 @pbarlow1966 This is their classic toxic holier than thou Provo fan talk. You just can’t make up their behavior. Utah fans are like the chill big brother while Provo fans are whiny jealous little brother.
