We are truly saddened to share the news that our club chairman and event set-up co-ordinator passed away this morning. George was a true gentleman of our sport and will be very sadly missed. We send our love to Spike, Sarah and the rest of the family.

Unfortunately, we have had to retire for the day. Alongside the puncture that we picked up in SS10, we also picked up a slow puncture on the rear-right at the same time. We chose to only carry one spare tyre for the loop, so sadly this means we will have to stop for the day.

@BenConsty @OfficialWRC I don't think there's anything wrong with sport, I see it as a very mature move by an individual who recognises the damage done by burning out at such a young age. It's a career break, and good for him.

Is there something wrong with the @OfficialWRC as a sport if the 23 year old double championship needs to take a year part time to recharge the batteries from his sport? I get it, I am doing the same, but surely things need to change to keep the champions dedicated to the sport.
