UK astonishingly far behind on CT and MRI scanners - I get that tech isn’t everything - but can we really justify being this much of an outlier? ⁦@RestIsPolitics⁩

More scanners is the easy part! What we need is better pay for the existing radiographer and radiologist workforce to ensure retention AND lots more radiographers and radiologists. Without more staff, more scanners would be useless!

@timricketts_ I like to forget to cream small areas like knees/feet just to test the claim that suncream works (it does work everytime).

Suncream is wild because we have this thing that protects against skin cancer and keeps you looking younger for longer, but people are like “nah I’ll take the cancer and I’m happy to look like a shoe by my early forties, as long as I can be a bit darker now”.

As a hospital consultant who wishes to support junior colleagues I think it’s vital that you win your battle for fair pay. This means that your industrial action has to be impactful. 4 days after the Easter weekend is impactful. Stick together don’t have doubts.
