And a huge thank you to our judging panel - who don’t have an easy decision to make!
Thank you to Ethan J Smith from @officialFST, Cllr Maggie O’Rourke, the Mayor of #Rugby, and our very own CEO, James Higham!

These are early days, but yesterday’s meetings with @martyneoliver and his Ofsted team reassure me that there’s a serious commitment to an inspection system that is fairer, less punitive, and which regains trust. Discussions will resume next week. tes.com/magazine/news/…

@Headteacherchat Some ways I've found that help:
Find a critical friend to help you understand the difficult situations.
Find something to focus on each week other than work.
Spend time laughing with friends and family.
Find small ways to make your team smile.
Be proud of each day's improvement.

Anon post:
I have been a head for 18months and I am dreading returning to school next week. I was so burnt out by the end of last term that I could barely function this holiday. It took about 3 weeks to motivate myself to do anything.
The emotional outbursts from parents and staff weighs so heavy and I just don’t know how to keep my head above water sometimes. How do I keep myself from doing the same this term/year? I knew it would be a lonely job but 🤯🤯🤯

@Headteacherchat I would ask the Head which days they will be unavailable, as your teaching day commitments will stop you from deputising while they are out and it would leave the school without senior leadership cover. Nicely of course!

Anon post:
Hi, I’ve recently been promoted to deputy head as an internal candidate. I didn’t ask about pay before and the advert stated it would be paid according to the STPC. It’s 3 days class based and 2 days in office. I’ve since found out the head only wants to pay me as a part time DH for 2 days and part time as a teacher pay for the 3 days. Where do I stand with this? I’d be taking on responsibilities but am I to just say those responsibilities only happen on the 2 days I’d be DH. I’d assumed I’d be on the Leadership scale and was trying to word how I could be on more than the highest paid teacher on UPS3 + TLR which is more than L1 but now it seems I need to be negotiating just to be paid for 5 days. Is this normal practise? Many thanks for your help.

I've signed. This is a tragedy that must be looked into.

I’m told that the report has been taken down from @Ofstednews website.

In all my years. Never have I seen such insensitivity. @Ofstednews I would welcome a meeting to discuss this.

@Mermoo2 And this is why we should make care experience a protected characteristic. Having that security to challenge the narrative without feeling scared or not worthy.
