The US not only pays the most out of any country in the world for veteran disability compensation (by far) but is the ONLY country where you can receive the 100% disability compensation payments and work a full time job at the same time. This is insanity.

@brokenhref @DieseledDragon @RealityTripper Wrong. Their IQ is low enough that they are sought to enlist. “They who can do. Those who can’t, join the military” Military orders that I can’t enlist 🫡. Enjoy forced reenlistment, weak boy.

@brokenhref @DieseledDragon @RealityTripper I’ll just report the fraud and vote for the person to completely end the program. 🤷‍♂️ Most veterans are weak men, hence all the fraud. I have nothing to worry about, I don’t have to pay taxes. Remember, they have you by the balls.

@brokenhref @DieseledDragon @RealityTripper Disability is a legal definition, not a medical one. It is the same context, veterans just get to play by special rules; explicitly contradicting the Equal Protection Clause. They should have to follow the same legal standard as everyone else, since they’re civilians after.

@brokenhref @DieseledDragon @RealityTripper Unless you’re drafted, it is by every legal standard “voluntary”. If it was about compensation, they’d only receive a one time payment; like AO If they are truly disabled, they should have to go through the social security administration just like everyone else who is disabled.

@DaltonEmahiser @DieseledDragon @RealityTripper Veterans let the government do with their bodies as the government wishes. Many times, there is injury. That injury is compensated. If it was such a great deal…people would be lined up around the block begging to enlist.

@DieseledDragon @RealityTripper It should be treated like social security disability. You should have to prove that you can’t do any job in the national economy AND do substantial gainful work; including sedentary employment with accommodations. You should have to sit in front of an administrative law judge.

@rtdfgt69 @RealityTripper @Diego07072003 @Patriotsdotw1n But military disability does not mean what disability typically means. It’s just a medical condition that carries a percentage. For example, tinnitus wouldn’t be “disability” outside the military. MilDisability is simply compensation for stuff that happened during service

Why isn't the military advertising that no matter the MOS, as long as you go through boot camp or basic training that you're essentially guaranteed $3500/mo+ in disability payments, free college, free healthcare, subsidized mortgages, etc. for a single ~4 year contract?

@brokenhref @rtdfgt69 @Diego07072003 @Patriotsdotw1n It does. The more people that collect and game the system to "maximize ratings" the quicker the system collapses because we won't be able to afford paying every compensation. The VA is already getting almost $500B/yr and over $300B of that is for disability alone.

@jksaltman @brokenhref @PlayBackPr13326 Yes, and per OIG (and even the VA), repeatedly, those contractors suck at their job and there is ample room for exploitation of the system.

@Polymarket Having parents stay at home to raise the kids is great but how many of them know how to raise a kid. Should have them go to parenting classes to get approved.

@WazzupDoc7 @ReturnToReagan The argument used to be that the children of slaves couldn’t be citizens because of the parents. The 14th amendment ended that logic-if you are born here you are a citizen.

@ReturnToReagan If a foreign citizen comes here, yes, they would need to become naturalized in order to be an American citizen. That's news? If your grandparents were naturalized then they became citizens, and their children are citizens because they are the children of Americans.

I'm wondering aside from birthright, what other mechanism would you have for citizenship. My Italian grandparents weren't born here. So their children wouldn't be citizens. Which means my parents wouldn't be, so then neither would I. Right? Someone would have to be naturalized?
