@MUSSemeritus Jim Harbaugh left Michigan to Moore saying he could build a continuity staff and then hired all of the best coaches, including coaches don’t have roles in typical NFL orgs. He tried to hire our nutritionist. He hired our director of RECRUITING. And we didn’t cry.

Why has Nebraska struggled so much to get back to just being a competitive football team? Forget playoff team or any sort of championship. Just being able to beat a decent team seems to be an impossible task the last decade. With all of money and facilities and fan support. Just mind boggling it is so challenging! My initial thought is ADs need to stop going after proven losers as HCs. Riley was proven .500 hc. Rhule was a proven .500 hc. Then everyone is shocked when they can't get above. 500. Frost had minimal experience as a HC. Everyone is shocked when he failed as a p4 hc. How about we go get a hc who has history of winning. I don't care what level. Let's maybe try that as a change of pace.

JUST IN: Trump used his first veto to block a unanimously approved Colorado drinking water project. Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, whose district the pipeline project is in, slammed Trump, suggesting it was retaliation for her signing the discharge petition to release the Epstein files, saying: “Nothing says ‘America First’ like denying clean drinking water to 50,000 people in Southeast Colorado, many of whom enthusiastically voted for him in all three elections…I sincerely hope this veto has nothing to do with political retaliation for calling out corruption and demanding accountability. Americans deserve leadership that puts people over politics.”

@bronxbaumer @Johnubacon @csgraham29 I don't think he leaves Utah for Michigan at that point. I can't imagine Michigan is the first big time job that has shown up at his door with a blank check. This was a confluence of events. He was forced out of the place he loves AND Michigan needed a coach.

Kind of wild that we were going through this exercise 11 years ago, then Jim Harbaugh’s first loss as Michigan coach would be to the school’s current coach. @Johnubacon do you recall if Whittingham was floated as a candidate before Hoke was hired?
