Discussion time. If @Carpervert ever bought a SuperCar, what do you think it would be? And why?

Just think, if you want to buy the last of the truly lightweight and great sports cars the A110 won’t be on sale for ever and right now there are deals and 0% finance. Do it.

Best golfing vista you saw in 2023? I’ve seen some pretty special ones but I think this view on the 9th at Royal County Down clinches it. Post yours below 👇 #golftwitter

@ThePollitt Hey, I'm just an Internet stranger. I've seen your updates. Hang in there, last year was terrible for me. Close to the edge, but I'm here and I'm smiling you will get through it just keep talking and being open. Lots of people will be there for you, more than you know.

Few days in the Scottish Borders earlier in the week with the Civic Type R. What a magical car. All-weather grip like I’ve never experienced, unbelievable balance and the sweetest gearshift. Might be £50k, but I still think it’s worth every penny. The best car I’ve ever driven

@timoldland You have a much better way of words than I do when it comes to explaining to my mates the feeling this car gives! Bravo

Now it’s gone and the sadness has passed, I thought I’d put some words down on what I think of the Civic Type-R. First up, a bold statement: This is the best car I’ve driven in years. The best hot hatch, the best sports car, just utterly, completely, totally brilliant in every way. Now, I should qualify here that I am a huge hot hatch fan anyway, I think there’s nothing better for a British b-road than a scrabbly FWD manual hatchback. Previously the Mk8 Fiesta ST was my favourite - it has now been surpassed (on driving merit, not cost). The thing is, for me this is so much more engaging and fun than an A45/RS3. The fact that they’re hugely powerful and automatic means that noise aside, they could easily be EV. You couldn’t get the level of engagement you get in the CTR in an EV. The scrabbling out of a corner, snatching another gear as the boost comes in, feeling the car writhe and be on the edge of losing traction, all just directly wire into the pleasure centres of your brain. The fact that it has enough performance to excite, but not too much to worry you is a bonus. The seats are fantastic - supportive and comfortable while also looking incredible. And somehow Honda has managed to make the already amazing FK8 CTR gearbox even better. The metal gearknob, a hand span away from the wheel is so perfectly placed and the shifts so positive and well judged that you find yourself rowing through the gears just for the joy of it. I love the styling too - I really wasn’t impressed when the images first came out but in the metal it’s the perfect balance of aggression and style without being too OTT. Is it expensive at £50k? Yes, undeniably. But I’d have one over an RS3 and A45 which are both £60k, so in that respect it’s cheap. So in summary - Bravo Honda, another outstanding Civic Type-R. Long may they continue.

Well, I've enjoyed the Panda very much after 4 years and 19k miles but it's now time to say goodbye and let someone else enjoy it. New Cambelt and water pump in May this year, 4 Goodyear Eagle F1s put on Oct 2022 and will be sold with 12 months MOT. 72k on the clock. £3250.

@tomwookieford Just finished 1850 mile trip around the Highlands in Scotland in mine. Don't think I could think of a better car for the job of taking all my stuff, taking on the roads and mixing comfort and pace.

Liked the Civic Type R a lot. Reminded me (oddly) of Integras from back in the day - except much faster. Is £50k a lot these days now though? I think everything is too much. I am grandpa-spec. 👴

@MarkHamilton76 @tomwookieford Let me know where the M2C can be had for £50k reckon I could make a few quod flipping it 😉. The CTR is a much bigger and practical car than the yaris and for me that makes it worth the extra money.

@tomwookieford And people thought I was crazy when I bought an AWD Yaris for £35k. I do like the R but doubt that it’s £15k better. Most reviewers gloss over the fact that it’s the same price as the BMW M2C which is so much better IMO.

@_Alfista The worst thing about this story is if It's where I think it is (and Rossi's is a big clue it is) there is a wide cycle path for them to use as well 🤦‍♂️

@JoePompliano @AndreAgassi It's obviously very American focused (which is fine of course). I'd encourage everyone to read this though....incredible, but very sad.
