So any brand with a neutral or positive reputation (aka lack of negative reputation) has been guided by strategic comms pros who put in invisible, thankless work to maintain reputation. It's not easy.

There's an entire 1/2 of #communications work that gets ignored, because it's invisible (except internally). Crisis comms - the art of killing or correcting stories that could damage a brand.
