@BarackObama Before the ACA premiums were actually affordable, deductibles were low, and I paid just a $10-$20 copay for all my appointments. Now healthcare is an absolute joke, premiums are sky high, deductibles are sky high. You have to pay $10k of your own money before insurance will pay

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

@MbarkCherguia My wife is so busy with our new born, and she gets very little sleep with all the nursing she does. If I came home to this I’d be so grateful she took time out of her day for me and showed she’s still thinking of me. But I’m crazy in love with my wife, she’s an absolute angel.

@elonmusk @_kaitodev @garrytan @karpathy In order for this to work: the manual labor jobs that are required by humans (nurses, construction workers etc), must ALL be significantly higher paying than the UBI, otherwise there’s no incentive for the necessary human jobs.

5 minutes ago, @karpathy just dropped karpathy/jobs! he scraped every job in the US economy (342 occupations from BLS), scored each one's AI exposure 0-10 using an LLM, and visualized it as a treemap. if your whole job happens on a screen you're cooked. average score across all jobs is 5.3/10. software devs: 8-9. roofers: 0-1. medical transcriptionists: 10/10 💀 karpathy.ai/jobs

@Joecarolbell @RogerSeverino_ @WallStreetMav And that coordination doesn’t need assistance anymore. With ai, and websites like Zillow and realtor, the home owner can list the price of the home, and the buyers can look at the inventory they want. “We are the center of that transaction” in otherwise you’re the middle man.

@RogerSeverino_ @WallStreetMav You forgot what we actually get paid for: We are the center of the transaction, we coordinate every single thing on your list! We only get paid when the sale is completed, up until then we are working for free.

Real estate agents make a ton of money on people's ignorance of what they actually do (and don't do). Can they explain the legality of contract terms? 🚫only licensed lawyers can give legal advice. Can they tell you the true value of a house? 🚫only licensed appraisers can. Can they tell you if a house has any hidden defects or risks? 🚫That's what home inspectors are for. Can they get you financing? 🚫only regulated banks can. But wait, don't they make sure the owner is the real owner and the house doesn't have any liens or some other impediment to sale? Basic due diligence? 🚫title companies and banks do that. Surely they handle the most important part, the complicated dance when you have your bank wire the money to the other party through an escrow account, sign a gigantic stack of legally binding documents, and if done right, you get the title and literally walk away with the keys to the house? You know, the actual scary part of the home buying and selling process? 🚫Nope, closing companies handle that, agents don't even have to be there. But there is one very important thing you will discover at closing if you read the docs closely. Exactly how many tens of thousands of dollars the agents got paid by you and the seller.
Wall Street Mav@WallStreetMav

I am actually surprised that the era of real estate agents and 6% commissions didn't end years ago. What is keeping it alive?

This right here is the behavior of a maggot rotting on a corpse. It is genuinely one of most despicable things that I have ever seen in politics that Ben Shapiro— WHO CHARLIE KIRK COULD NOT STAND AND WHO CHARLIE KIRK HIMSELF ROUTINELY EXPRESSED WAS A TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING—has so shamelessly tried to reimagine himself as a guardian of Charlie’s legacy. EVERYONE in politics knows Charlie hated Ben. Everyone. Not a single person will dispute this narrative. It is plain sickening to watch him try to spend money to reintroduce himself as anything other than someone who was horrible jealous of Charlie and attempted to stop his rise, as he does to EVERYONE who is naturally more talented and intelligent than him. WHY WON’T TPUSA EXECS tell the truth about how Ben treated Charlie? How do you guys sleep at night allowing this tapeworm to feast off Charlie’s legacy. It costs nothing to tell the truth about who Ben Shapiro is and was to Charlie. You should be ASHAMED for allowing this despicable nerd anywhere near Charlie’s chair or what Charlie built, ever.
Ben Shapiro@benshapiro

Don’t worry, Megyn. I’d never ask you to protect me. You won’t even protect Charlie Kirk’s widow from the monster accusing her of murdering Charlie.

🚨 “REALTORS ARE SCAM ARTISTS” — VIRAL VIDEO TORCHING THE INDUSTRY IS GOING NUCLEAR A skit exploding across social media is ripping into the real estate industry, and it’s hitting a nerve. In the video, a homebuyer slowly realizes something about the process that makes it look suspicious. Every time she tries to make an offer, the real estate agent suddenly claims there’s “another bid.” But when the buyer asks basic questions like who the bidder is, what they offered, or if they’re even real, the response is always the same: “I can’t say.” Then the realization hits. If the price goes up… the agent’s commission goes up too. Seconds later the house is “sold” and the real estate agent walks away with a $50,000 commission. Now the internet is arguing. Some say agents protect buyers through complex deals. Others say it’s just the most expensive middleman job in America. Be honest: are realtors worth it… or is the whole system a scam?

Having to live vicariously through a team that hasn’t won their conference championship - EVER - let alone anything meaningful in over 20 years, only because your squad can’t even qualify for an expanded playoff, is one of the saddest things I’ve seen on this platform. Needless to say, @stoolpresidente surely has a chair propped up in the corner of his bedroom overlooking his own bed.

There’s not a single person I know who got the vaccine and then didn’t later get sick from Covid. I know people will rebuttal with they didn’t get as sick as they would have had they not had the vaccine. I just never saw it, there was no difference in people not having the vaccine being noticeably more sick than those with the vaccine

This is the hardest part for people to understand: Achieving herd immunity isn’t about you. It’s about reducing transmission to protect newborns, immunocompromised, the elderly - and preventing outbreaks from overwhelming health systems. So actually it makes perfect sense.
Joe Rogan Podcast News@joeroganhq

Tucker Carlson: "If the vaccine is effective and you take it, then why does it matter if I take it?" Cheryl Hines: "It doesn’t make any sense." Tucker: "So ‘my body, my choice’ was not a real thing, it turned out... It’s your body, my choice."

BREAKING: This is terrible. I don't blame Republicans for being upset about the $100–$200+ billion in suspected fraud out of Minnesota, much of it from Somali citizens. Every American should be outraged that these people took advantage of the Government under Walz. Oops, correction. The $100–$200+ billion figure refers to nationwide pandemic fraud, overwhelmingly committed by U.S.-born citizens, and it happened mostly in 2020 after the Trump administration rushed out PPP and other relief programs with minimal safeguards. So yes, be angry about fraud. Just be angry at the right facts, the right timeline, and the right administration.
