It's quite unfortunate how Fela spent about 39 years been active in the Nigeria Africa Global Music Entertainment and didn't receive one single Grammy nominations when he was alive till his gone. Despite all the global recognition they'all claimed Fela has during his time as musicals yet he couldn't receive on single Grammy nominations. It's obvious that this lifetime Grammy award was giving to him following the acknowledgement of the greatest Artist like Wizkid who helped to promote Afro Beats Music all over the continent of the world coupled with his impact in inspiring and raising other big Artists in the country like David, Burna Boy, Rema and the rest.
