@Oyinlola_cfc So lemme help you out here. In the two central defenders, one goes hard and the other sweeps. Saliba sweeps. You should be comparing LaCroix to Gabriel rather.

@QUEENOFDBLUES1 Arsenal under Arteta will learn the hard way that as long as you keep pursuing players on the back of an impressive last season, they'd always hold you to ransom and sell to money miss road misfits like Chelsea Under Wenger, we signed unknown players and we were competitive

Chelsea finished 10th. Arsenal finished 1st. Morgan Rogers still chose Chelsea and said he’s joining the biggest club in London. When you’re big, you’re big. Respect the food chain. 🥶

And that’s why it’s very important to get another solid right footed defender in! Another quality Midfielder in and another quality winger in! Christos Toto should not be the only one! It’s going to be a very difficult season for Arsenal especially from the start! A lot of important players need time to properly recover! They’re humans not robots. Nonsense!
Simon Collings@sr_collings

Arsenal players clocked up the second most minutes of any PL side at the World Cup this summer. Off the back of a long season, it is a difficult problem to manage. Piece looking at how Arsenal are aiming to do so: thesun.co.uk/sport/39832205…

Why Morgan Rogers chose Chelsea over Arsenal . He grew up watching Chelsea win ! 2012 UCL against Bayern 2013 Europa against Benfica 2019. Europa against Arsenal 2021 UCL against man city 2021 super cup against Villarreal 2022 club World Cup against palmeiras 2025 conference league against Real Betis 2025. Club World Cup against PSG

Congratulations to Chelsea on signing a fantastic player in Morgan Rogers. You got a baller there. There’s no need hating or criticizing. They won this round. Made Arsenal look like fools in the process. No.. they made Arteta and Berta look like fools! Imagine the player you talking to for months join your rivals and his first words are “I’m joining the biggest club in London”. He was tired too and frustrated by Arsenal! Nonsense!

PETER OBI DOES NOT REPRESENT NIGERIA'S INTEREST IN ANYWAY!! The @NGRPresident must as a matter of necessity, send official memos to all foreign partners and Ambassadors from various countries to Nigeria, telling them in clear terms that this fravd does not in anyway represent the interest of Nigeria and its people!! A man who speaks with zero sənse should not be allowed to speak on behalf of Nigeria. I know why ooo🤦🏾‍♂️ @femigbaja @aonanuga1956 @SundayDareSD @DOlusegun

Strengthening Development Through Partnership Yesterday, I met with the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Patrick Egloff, and we had a productive and engaging discussion on our country’s developmental journey, with particular emphasis on the critical sectors that drive development: education, healthcare, and lifting people out of poverty. I expressed my gratitude for the invaluable contributions of the Swiss Confederation to Nigeria’s development, especially its support for critical economic, cultural, humanitarian, and peace-building initiatives, particularly in the North-East. Building stronger partnerships founded on shared values and a commitment to human development remains essential to creating a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@Bowdy1980 @HarveyDiamonds I mean I just can't understand how fickle a few of us are... We just won the league, we have a fairly good team core, we just need to step it up in a few areas and allow a few players the opportunity to get rested These prices are extortionate. £117m for what???

I can assure you of one thing. Those within Arsenal, will not care one bit about the ‘optics’ of this Rogers move to Chelsea. They don’t care how it looks, or how it may feel, or what people say about it / them. Coming in to the summer, the club were led to believe that a deal would be achievable at around £80m to £90m. For Arsenal that represented value. Arsenal knew the fee that would get this deal done. They’ve known for a few weeks. They decided not to act upon it. Somewhere, at some point - the scales tipped further away from what Arsenal viewed as value. Whether Arsenal fans agree with that or not, is irrelevant. This is not me defending the club. My opinion doesn’t matter - this is just an objective view of how the recruitment team at Arsenal operate. This is a club that signed Madueke last summer despite protests. However, it is one less option on the market in an already scarce market. So let’s see what Arsenal have planned.

@VictoryOwai I'm not quite sure how old you are.... However under Arsene Wenger, Arsenal NEVER chased those names the media hyped. Arsene was known to have a dossier on players , sometime from when they were 14 years old. Arsenal under Wenger built players rather than bought media hype

I am genuinely trying to connect the dots here because something about Arsenal's transfer approach feels different this summer. Are we slowly moving away from chasing the big, obvious names and moving towards finding hidden gems before the rest of Europe catches up? Just take a moment and look at everything that has happened since we won the Premier League. Andrea Berta didn't just come in and continue with the same structure. He has completely reshaped the recruitment team. He brought in Javier Alonso, a former Atlético Madrid chief scout who has built a strong network across Spain and South America. He added Maurizio Micheli, the man heavily involved in discovering elite talents like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before the world knew what he could become. Then there is Matteo Tognozzi, former Juventus head of scouting and Granada sporting director, someone who is considered one of the best minds when it comes to youth recruitment and finding undervalued players. Now look at our first major move. Christos Tzolis. A player who was identified and admired by Maurizio Micheli. Meanwhile, the player many fans expected Arsenal to go for, Morgan Rogers, has ended up moving to Chelsea. And that got me thinking... Are we sure Arsenal's plan is still what we thought it was? Maybe the club has changed direction. Maybe instead of spending £100m+ on players everyone already knows, we are now trying to find the next big thing before they become expensive. And honestly, this would make sense when you look at the people Berta has surrounded himself with. These are not random appointments. These are people whose careers have been built around discovering talent. The only thing that makes me question it is that this wasn't really the message after the Champions League final. Arteta talked about taking the next step, improving the squad and competing at the highest level. Naturally, many fans thought that meant bringing in proven players who can immediately push us over the line. But maybe the vision behind the scenes is different. Maybe Arsenal believe the next phase is not just about buying superstars, but creating them. I am not saying this is definitely the case, but the pattern is there and it's hard not to notice it. For now, we wait and watch. The rest of this transfer window will tell us whether Arsenal have truly changed their recruitment philosophy or if we are just connecting dots that aren't there. Either way, something feels different at the club.

For a team which only qualified for the world cup by beating minnows like Latvia Serbia Albania Andorra, England has to earn the right to be mentioned in the same bracket with big teams like Brazil Italy France Germany Argentina Spain etc They need to drop the arrogance

The English call their athletes footballers. They're always about passion, physicality, aggression, stamina, pace etc... like robots No poise, no patience, no elegance little technical maturity little intelligence. Someone needs to teach English players how to slow down and play
