Here's my issue for defenders of SGA. You say he's just selling the calls because the refs miss so many, but what happens if a 7'4" guy starts doing the same? Do you know how egregious the game would look if Wemby were flopping and flailing every single time he received contact? Technically, it would be fair game since others are doing it, too. But nobody wants to watch that. The answer to SGA's bait shouldn't be "well, everyone else can do it if they want." This is an entertainment product, and it's popular because of the athletic feats, high-octane hoops, and intense defense. Not free throws. Not fooling the refs. Contrary to what some may say, the destination isn't the only thing that matters. The journey is crucially important. We should encourage players to stop baiting. Not asking others to join in.

The NBA needs to implement a "natural shooting motion" rule. If you move unnaturally to draw a foul it should be an offensive foul

That’s the key difference. We’ve seen plenty of teams across history as physical as this Thunder team. OKC layering the constant grifting on top of it is what has sent people over the edge.
