@flatland_sports My son plays HS ⚾️ in Long Island NY. There is 1 player out of 25 on the team that does NOT play travel. I don’t think my kid will get a scholarship or go pro. However he enjoys travel and I can afford to have him play. Not sure why people have so much anger towards travel.

@RobertStock6 Where are you playing games? There is NO rec league by me after 12. I don’t see a kid who’s NOT playing travel, not getting coached up year round being able to throw 80’s in the strike zone by not playing any games and training on his own.

If you can throw mid 80s in the strike zone, you’re going to make every varsity high school team in the US and you don’t have to ever travel further than 30min to learn how to do that.
Jason Helmes@anymanfitness

Bad news, dude: If your kid doesn’t play travel/AAU they have no chance of playing varsity in high school. Only exceptions would be small, rural schools without many players to choose from. Any decent sized high school, every kid on varsity plays travel.

"We've got some pretty good pieces to work with." After Montez Sweat's 10 sack season, the Bears are banking on Dayo Odeyingbo + Shamar Turner's health, Austin Booker's 2nd half trajectory carrying over and better coaching factoring into this D-line improving how it gets after opposing QBs in 2026. espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

@six8jay @CourtneyRCronin @ESPNNFL Hahahaha agree, but they invested heavily in these 2 players, gotta give them a chance to see what they can do, they played 4 games.. I remember after 4 games last yr fans killing Poles for Loveland, Burden & Trapillo not playing.. Boy did that change.

From NFL Live: The Bears believe better coaching and health will yield better results with their pass rush from a defensive line group that is largely the same from last season. @ESPNNFL

@Ryan_Paramont @CourtneyRCronin @ESPNNFL Never said she’s a fan, she continually has Negative take on the Bears. Impartial is great, feel it’s tilted too much in one direction. Going back to camp last yr, you would do thought Baegent would be the starter by wk 4 from her reporting.

@brsully23 @CourtneyRCronin @ESPNNFL She’s not a bears fan. She just covers them. She needs to remain impartial. I also don’t listen or turn to her for any insight fwiw.

@Bears_Luchador Completely different TE than Kmet, he’s a blocking TE, he’ll prob catch 15 balls this year but be crucial to the run game. Ben knows what he needs to be the #1 offense in NFL.

🐻 I wont lie, I was iffy on the Tight End pick in the 3rd round… (Sam Roush) 🐻 But after watching more film on him, dude can MOVE some bodies out the way! 😳 🐻 He can also make some catches. 🐻 Is the end of Cole Kmet coming? 😱

@CourtneyRCronin @ESPNNFL You can be realistic and at least mention having Dayo and Turner healthy should be a major upgrade for a team that was without them for the majority of the yr last yr. This was there biggest FA spend and a 2nd rd pick.

@CourtneyRCronin @ESPNNFL Is it me or is @CourtneyRCronin always very negative on Bears in her segements. You have 2 guys they were relying on heavily last year that both got injured early in Dayo & Turner, also the 2nd half improvement in Booker. I for one feel optimistic about that unit this year.

@EddieBarstool Shamar Turner 3rd rd pick, got hurt 4 games in, Dayo got hurt after a few games. Those are 2 guys they will be getting back and expect good things from, as well as another jump from Booker who turned it on last year in 2nd half. Bears feel better about D line than the average fan

Middle infielders, we don’t want the runner at 2b to know we’re there. All that glove tapping and dirt kicking isn’t doing what you think it is. Be light on your feet and be quiet.

The Chicago Bears have engaged the Giants. Should be interesting.
Ian Rapoport@RapSheet

The #Giants and star DL Dexter Lawrence, who have been talking about a new big-money extension, have reached an impasse, sources say. The Giants have engaged with teams on a potential trade and that will continue. It should come to a head before the Draft.

@Austen Parents don’t really think there kids are going pro, people like to exaggerate this for laughs. I have 3 kids, all play or played multiple travel sports, I’m yet to meet a parent who believes this. Most want there kids to have a good HS experience, small % hopes of college.

@relayer35 @ConorFoleyYES @Yankees The decision is made before season starts, can’t say he should be starting over Grisham after 15games. Yes he’s a better option than Grichuk, they also need to make sure he gets AB’s and still develops. Keeping him in AAA is only way to get him consistent AB’s and reps in OF.

@brsully23 @ConorFoleyYES @Yankees Ops last year was .719..,right about league average. Higher from the left side. Better option than Grichuk for sure. Should be starting over Grisham right now too.

Jasson Domínguez has another multi-hit game, his fifth of the season. He’s batting .354. He’s been on base multiple times in five straight games. He’s struck out once in the last six games; 11 walks to seven strikeouts overall. He’s also 7 for 8 in stolen bases.
