@BuyoyaJonah So they deserve to be taken care of after retirement at the expense of tax payers and be on tax free money. Me as i work am told to prepare for retirement, why can't they do the same within the same money they earn. Let's stop justifying these outrageous expenses.

@briansimasiku The Hakainde Hichilema led administration is just stalling until after the elections, nothing to get excited about, we know Hichilema is American aligned. You actually believe Hakainde Hichilema can refuse a billion dollars. Who owns the Mimbula mine, is it not Kolbot.

See how they hate it when you don’t align and they feel you’re standing in their way. But the beauty of being a sovereign state is that you get to decide your destiny on your own terms, not some diplomat with strong opinions. No outsider should prescribe how we should govern ourselves, or how we should feel about those we elect to govern us. For the record, I’m not entirely dismissing the concerns raised. But these are not new to us; they are legacy issues we are already confronting as a country. We know exactly how we got here, and we are not clueless about what needs fixing. What I completely reject is the idea that someone from outside can come and lecture us, especially on issues like justice and incarceration, as though we don’t understand our own system. We have a judiciary, we have oversight systems, we have a state that functions, even as we continue to improve it. We will fix our challenges, but on our own terms. That’s what sovereignty means.

A sad day for me personally ☹️. Politics aside, I know the man and I know his heart for the party and the country. But how a man behaves when he leaves a position tells you everything about his character. Calm, respectful and loyal is how grown men handle politics.

After years of friendship, hanging out on weekends cannot be the only thing holding you together. You should be building something together by now; a business, investments, networks, opportunities, assets, something. Friendships must have a growth component. Otherwise, have the courage to outgrow certain circles.

The day your party forms government, your media team must change tone. You can’t communicate like activists when you are now the authority. If you don’t transition, you will spend five years arguing with the very people you are supposed to be governing.

When a presidential hopeful goes on a serious TV programme, I do not really listen to their English or presentation. I listen for thought process. Unfortunately, I don’t fear for a man who fails an interview, I fear for a country if such a man wants to run it. OMG, what was that 🙆‍♂️

So the idea that Binwell Mpundu forced this payment in Parliament is misleading. It was political stunt built around a problem that didn’t exist. Ironically, he once sat in a party that scrapped these allowances when it governed. Weeks ago the CBU Student Union informed students that meal allowance arrears would be paid in two tranches; 21 Feb and the first week of March. Those payments are simply following that schedule. Found this a bit strange, coz going by the logic of the party he goes to bed with, student allowances shouldn’t even exist in the first place.
So Fye So🇨🇩🇿🇲🙏💪@ChamAngilason

Yesterday he asked about meal allowances for CBU students and got Chased out of Parliament and today 😑 they have paid all the Arrears Alebomba Umuntu

The Footy Section@FTBLsection·
Pierluigi Collina, President of the FIFA Referees Committee, has proposed changing the way penalties are taken during regular time: “I think there’s an excessive gap between the opportunities for the shooter and the goalkeeper. On average, 75% of penalties end in goals. Plus, there’s the chance of a rebound off the goalkeeper. One solution is the ‘ONE SHOT’ rule, similar to what we see in penalty shootouts after extra time. No rebounds. Either you score, or the game resumes with a goal kick. This would also eliminate the spectacle we often see before a penalty is taken, with everyone crowding around the area. It looks like horses at the starting gate before a race.”

@briansimasiku There's some truth in that article. Hakainde Hichilema is one discreet individual, he doesn't do things anyhow, he does things systematically such that it's difficulty for individuals of your persuasion to catch what he's about and i must you have ignored a lot from this article.

Before I read the whole article, I listed a few things I expected to see, the usual tropes about HH…. ‘bad human being,’ ‘drunk on power,’ ‘lost to vanity,’ ‘ethnic grievance.’ Turns out I ticked all of them 😅 Dr’s article sounds serious, but most of it is just claims without proof. He keeps talking about “credible reports” and “secret surveys,” but shows nothing. Never any documents, data, or sources; but it’s like somehow we are just expected to trust him! He jumps straight from Zambia’s real problems to warnings of civil war; yes, we have problems, every country does. But saying “Zambia is about to fall into civil war” is a huge jump, and he doesn’t explain how it would actually happen. He also contradicts himself and leans on emotion too much. He says the army is both partisan and professional. He attacks HH’s character instead of his policies. And in an attempt to rewrite history, he paints Chiluba, Banda, Lungu, and others as “restrained” which is simply false. They all abused power in different ways. At the end of the day, this commentary is meant to scare people rather than explain what’s really going on. The language is strong, but the claims have no basis. The truth is, our country is on track, we can argue but there’s plenty of evidence to show for it.
