“themes and such” being like an insult is weird to me because… i feel like. delivering your themes and message properly in a story is more important than like. having a perfectly consistent world forever. a story is meant to make you feel something, not just be wiki fodder

some people have a strict checklist in their minds of what exactly makes a piece of fiction “good” or “bad” and i think sometimes it is important to try and understand and analyse a work outside of those boxes. i greatly enjoy stories that throw out convention.

The concept that Asa lost character development because of the world reset is flawed. Her entire story revolves around carrying guilt that isn't hers and clinging to a reason to live because of it. Her savior complex was harming herself

@bryan_gower @Raramusume @danny_saaan you already knew about fujimoto apparently and liked all of his other works. Only other thing of his I saw was look back and part 1. Part 1 satisfied me and I assumed it was gonna be more like that.

@MatinaComics @Raramusume @danny_saaan I’ve seen the film numerous times and even without the interview context CSM has central themes that match the movies fairly well, denji experiences a lot both good and bad, but no matter what happens through it all he persists .

@bryan_gower @Raramusume @danny_saaan if the ending to the big lebowski really is as annoying as people say then atleast it had the benefit of being a single movie which really helps soften the blow of the ending. Its not like it was the final piece of a story running for 8 years
