Every word of this is true. I’ve never worked harder for anything else in my life. Everything has always come easy for me. But securing a public school district’s integrity -a district that made me, that teaches my own kids, & provides my professional success- requires hard work.

Last year leading up to my 40th I became a runner. At my peak I ran 15-20 miles a week and once I did a 10k. This year I’ve been terribly inconsistent, only running a couple miles a week, if that. Maybe this will motivate me to ramp up again and prepare. 🏃♂️

I’ve lived through too many Batmen. The tenure of a Batman should match the tenure of a James Bond. You’re not giving me enough time to be emotionally invested! I have to get used to a new Batman every couple years and quite frankly, I’m sick of it.
