@AdamSchein Hey well done, Seattle Superintendent! I wondered where this wretched bastard had taken refuge. Not much of a demotion for him and there he can continue his tyranny over kids.

Honestly, when that Gunner made the special teams play of the year, I was so stoked I ran across the street to tackle that 80 yo old biddy from Philly in the Harold Carmichael jersey! Did it again this morning, too!

Greetings Adam! I hope that all is well, you football Savant. As to the poll question, it's the Cowboys grit that won the game. There is no greater distance in Sports than that between my admiration for that teams heart and my contempt for Jerry Jones.

You may be cool, but you’ll never be “Bob Gibson in a suit leaning on the Corvette Stingray he took home for being named MVP of the 1964 World Series” cool.

Yep, I met him and his brother Chris at Oshman's Sporting Goods while standing in line. Two weeks later at a Spring training game, he recognized me before the game, called me over to the corner of the dugout, thanked me for my service, signed a ball for me, and talked baseball for about 20 minutes. Nicest ball player I ever met.

Tony Gwynn could’ve gone 0-for-1199 at the end of his career and still retired as a .300 hitter. Think about that for a minute. Absorb it.

July 20, 1969. “Contact light, engine stop.” The Apollo 11 lunar module Eagle touched down at Tranquility Base on the Moon. A few hours later, Neil Armstrong and I stepped foot on the Moon, with Michael Collins orbiting close-by. An achievement resulting from years of incalculable effort, commitment, and team work. We all did our part to see President Kennedy’s words become reality: “We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others too.” I couldn’t be prouder to have completed this mission with the hundreds of thousands of people that helped get us to the moon and back home. God bless the USA and all of humankind.

Fifty Six years ago, I was just 4 years old but I was totally captivated by the Moon landing. I remember staring at Moon for what seemed like hours from Washington DC. I was in awe and very proud! Thanks, Apollo, for the inspiration.
