SpaceX nearly sold to Google for $10 billion in 2015.
The deal was done. Handshake agreements. Both sides ready. Larry Page and Elon Musk had been close friends for years. Google wanted SpaceX to accelerate their satellite internet ambitions.
Musk pulled out at the last second.
Not because the price was too low. Because selling SpaceX meant giving up control of the Mars mission.
Google didn't care about Mars. They cared about satellites and revenue and market share. Mars was too expensive. Too risky. Too far away.
Musk looked at $10 billion on the table and asked himself one question: "Does this get humans to Mars faster or slower?"
Slower. He walked away.
Eleven years later SpaceX is worth $2 trillion. He didn't just leave $10 billion on the table. He left it on the table and built something worth 200 times more.
Every founder will face a version of this moment. The moment where the safe exit appears and the mission is on the other side.
The ones who take the exit become footnotes. The ones who walk away become history.

Grok Summary of Elon Musk’s interview at the Samson International Smart Mobility Summit today.
1. Strong praise for Israel’s innovation edge
Elon called out Israel’s outsized impact, saying it “punches way above its weight, probably #1 in the world” in innovation per capita. He expressed clear admiration for the country’s tech ecosystem, especially in AI and mobility.
2. Tesla FSD & unsupervised robotaxis — near-term reality
•Unsupervised robotaxis are coming soon.
•Tesla is already running driverless tests in select Texas areas.
•FSD availability: Elon stated it will roll out in both the US and Israel by the end of 2026.
•As the AI improves, cars will feel increasingly “alive.”
•Prediction: In about 10 years, most driving will be AI-handled.
3. Humanoid robots → abundance economy
Elon painted a future where humanoid robots (Optimus and others) vastly outnumber humans. This shift, he said, will create massive abundance and could enable ideas like “universal high income.” He framed smart mobility as part of this broader robotics/AI revolution.
4. Starship, multi-planetary life & Neuralink
•Starship’s rapid reusability is the key unlock for becoming multi-planetary and building cities on Mars.
•Neuralink was briefly highlighted for restoring function to people with paralysis or vision loss — described in one summary as potentially “Jesus-level” impact.
•All of these threads (autonomy, robots, space, brain interfaces) connect to one overarching goal: “maximize the probability that civilization has a great future.”
5. Balanced optimism with risk awareness
Classic Elon: big-picture excitement tempered by realism. He noted risks (including rogue robots/AI) but emphasized proactive development and deployment as the path forward.

Day 10 of explaining how to become a crypto millionaire.
Keep shorting $ASTEROID. The price is already down 3% since yesterday, and I’m adding more to my position every day. They’re going to dump it very soon.
$TROLL has gone down too, but this is a good dip. It’s rebounding at the $100m support level, and even if it drops below $100m, any entry below that level is a generational opportunity.
Also, in my personal view, comparing $asteroid to $troll is disrespectful to $troll. $troll is like the BTC of memes, while $asteroid is tied to a single event and is already heavily priced in. It’s more likely to become a “sell the news” event than anything else.

@elonmusk @Mark___Taylor Hey Elon, Do you think we will ever see you guys at SpaceX sell an Asteroid plush?

I don’t have 29 friends that would come over if I called and said I had a girl to rape. I don’t have even one single friend who would do that.
Yet there are entire races of people that will do that. That should put to rest the idea of racial equality.

They all had a go in her and on her from the age of 13. 29 men who identified themselves as Muslim have been charged in connection with the rape of a single female across a seven-year period in West Yorkshire.

You make the same mistakes every single time. You over-leverage. You don't take profits. You FOMO into coins at the top. You ignore your own rules. Then you sit there wondering why you aren't profitable.
When you learned to ride a bike as a kid, you fell off. Scraped your knees. Got back on. When you learned to read, you got words wrong constantly until one day you didn't. Nobody sits a 6-year-old down and says "you failed at reading, give up."
But somehow in crypto, people fail for six months and decide the market is rigged against them. It's not rigged. You're just refusing to learn from the feedback the market is giving you.
Be willing to be wrong. Be willing to be humbled. Be honest with yourself about what you're actually doing versus what you think you're doing. That's where improvement starts. That's where profitability lives.
