I stopped posting about $GME ever since @ryancohen proposed his insane pay package ($35 Billion). I've contributed to $GME community as much as any other person and was extremely sad/mad that Ryan turned out to be a greedy POS. The $35 Billion in future pay package only benefits him and a net-negative for $GME investors (dilution). RC is no Elon. Roaring Kitty along with millions of Apes are the sole reason for $GME success and cash pile. In fact, RC's yolo-ing into $BTC at the exact top gives a perspective of his judgement on financial markets. * RK un-following RC was a major sign that something was off. * Till this day RC still hasn't recalled his shares back * Till this day RC still hasn't acknowledged RK other than the one time on his interview where RC dissed RK. If $GME closes the Micromania divestiture in Q1 (which I estimate yields $70-120M in one-time proceeds from 308 French stores) and PowerPacks begins full top-line revenue recognition in the same quarter, Q1 net income could credibly challenge or exceed Q4's $127.9M (if not Q1 then Q2). Not to mention that in terms of margins, the divestiture is a double unlock: you recognize the one-time sale gain on the income statement while simultaneously shedding the lease liabilities and operating losses tied to 308 physical French locations. That combination of inbound proceeds and outbound liability removal hits the balance sheet hard in the best possible way. Layer on top of that a brand new high-margin digital collectibles revenue stream with no physical footprint and full top-line recognition turned on for the first time.
GameStop is also sitting in front of a stacked Q2 2026 Switch 2 slate (Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Pragmata, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, and more) that should drive sustained hardware, software, and licensed toys/collectibles demand through the quarter. GameStop's ramped up trade-in program compounds this further, with higher trade-in volume converting used inventory into high-margin resale, structurally improving gross margins on the software side independent of new release performance. If the Micromania sale slips to Q2, the setup becomes even more compelling: a full quarter of PowerPacks revenue recognition, the divestiture gain, and a fresh wave of a major hardware/software cycle all landing together. Either way, the next two quarters are structurally underpriced by the market.

Q1 or Q2 numbers for $GME might have a nice one time boost from the sale of its French operations. I estimate that GameStop could get $70-120m for Micromania and the 308 stores in France. Not sure if there is enough time left in Q1 (~20 days) to close this transaction, but it's great that there is momentum if the reporting from @GyoJvfr is to be believed! It would also result in a reduction of significant lease-related liabilities from the balance sheet.

South Africa won’t allow Starlink to be licensed, even though I was BORN THERE, simply because I am not Black!
We were offered many times the opportunity to bribe our way to a license by pretending that a Black guy runs Starlink SA, but I have refused to do so on principle.

Why Elon Musk is RIGHT to fight South Africa’s racist rules blocking Starlink? Imagine this: Long ago, South Africa had very unfair laws called apartheid. They treated Black people badly and kept them from good jobs and money. When those bad laws ended, the country made new rules (called B-BBEE) to help Black people get a fair share of business. The idea was good – like a big helping hand. But now? For companies like Starlink to sell fast internet, they MUST give away 30% of their business to Black partners. Just because of skin color. Elon Musk was born in South Africa. He left as a teen to chase big dreams. Today, his company SpaceX wants to bring Starlink – super fast satellite internet – to South Africa. But the rules say no unless they give up part of the company. Elon said it right: “Starlink is not allowed because I’m not Black.” SpaceX promised to spend about $30 million (that’s 500 million rand!) to give FREE high-speed internet to 5,000 rural schools. That helps over 2.4 MILLION kids every year learn better, get jobs later, and have a brighter future. Real help for the people who need it most! Starlink already works in about 24 other African countries. Villages there now have internet for school, doctors, and business. South Africa’s villages are missing out because of these racist rules. Elon isn’t asking for special favors. He just wants fair play so Starlink can connect everyone fast. Internet = education, jobs, hope. Why hold back millions of kids over rules that pick by race and color?
