Guys, Box Elder County Utah is HUGE and is one of the least populated places in the Lower 48. It's bigger than the state of Connecticut and has a population of 50k-ish people, most of whom live in Brigham City. Nobody is going to notice the data center is even there.

Kevin O'Leary's massive data center was approved by a county commission in Utah last night. At 40,000 acres, it would be 2.5x the size of Manhattan. The commission approved the proposal despite opposition from hundreds of locals.

@ckoopman No one should be killed - but anyone who goes against their community like this, from a position of power, should be scared.

Box Elder commissioners are getting death threats over Monday’s vote. This is genuinely sick. If you want to know what “AI psychosis” actually looks like, it’s people who think threatening local officials is a reasonable response to a land-use fight.

@goud4utah @RobertGehrke Doxxing derives from “dropping docs”. The primary intent is to weaponize information to cause harm, often moving online conflicts into physical reality. While it often involves exposing confidential data, it can also involve publishing public information with malicious intent.

For those of you curious, these are the dudes who are voting on complex Datacenter policies. * Bingham -- Rancher, beef cattle and produces wheat, corn, alfalfa hay, and triticale (wheat and rye hybrid grin) * Perry - Ex UHP and Former member of the Utah Legislature * VIncent - the only member who has supported pausing the fast track of this project.

@gopTODD @RobertGehrke Cry baby! Want to be in charge, want to be patted on the back, but if your public info is shared you end up whining. If you don’t back up the way you vote for us - don’t run! Protest at their homes. Boycott their businesses. Run them out!

The era of go-along-to-get-along politics is over. Voters expect bold, conservative action from their representatives. Five Republican incumbents in Indiana lost their races last night. I'm sure they did some good things, but they, and too many Republicans in other states, forget who they represent and why they were elected. My opponent worked with Democrats to turn a reliably red congressional district in Utah deep blue. These go-along-to-get-along politicians are complicit in letting Democrats take control of Congress this Fall. Now, more than ever, we need unwavering conservatives in office. I pledge that I will do all I can to advance conservative priorities in Congress to benefit Northern Utah and our way of life.

Kevin O'Leary aka Mr. Wonderful
I’m the only developer of data centers on earth that graduated from environmental studies. I'm pretty aware of what these concerns are. They are around air, water use, heat, noise pollution. So sustainability is at the heart of what we do in terms of all these proposals. We search for the best technology. There's many air-cooled turbines now, so you're blending in air-cooled versus water. There's so many different ways to generate power. We can also put a percentage of the power generation through solar, wind, and batteries because the battery technology is 10X more efficient than it was just five years ago. So that's very helpful because it makes the cost of energy lower.

@BravesMlbfan @alexisence Lol! The vote was UNANIMOUS by an entire panel of judges. All of those judges being appointed by Republican Governors and approved by Utah’s Republican supermajority legislature. It wasn’t even a difficult decision because the constitution.is.clear. ❄️

@bsarlo @alexisence No, these women put a simple majority referendum vote over the constitution. The precedent undermines the constitution and the amendment process.

I’ll give you 2 reasons to vote NO on Justices Diana Hagen and Jill M. Pohlman this fall: 1. Their role in the Prop 4 “super law” ruling 2. Nearly 4 years of blocking Utah’s duly enacted abortion trigger law And these don’t even bring up Hagen’s inappropriate affair with the Prop 4 attorney…

A bill suggesting a new process splitting Salt Lake County into two passed the Legislature — but was voted on too late. How realistic would the split have been under HB212? I built a tool to play around with. sltrib.com/news/2026/04/3…

@KyleeMa23431447 In 5 years no part of Tooele Valley will be rural. Erda will be indistinguishable from any given community in SL County. They rejected a temple to protect something that was already in the process of disappearing.
